CSIR UGC NET 2018 Application Form

CSIR UGC NET 2018 Application Form can be filled via online mode in the month of January 2018. The last date to fill online application form will be in February 2018. CSIR UGC NET is conducted to offer Junior Research Fellowship or Assistant Professor post.

  • The application form can be filled at csirhrdg.res.in.
  • Candidates with bachelor’s degree will be able to take up this test.
  • Application Fee can be remitted through online as well as offline mode.
  • An amount of INR 1000 is payable (in case of General Category candidates). Relaxation for reserved category candidates is provided.
  • The exam is scheduled for June 2018.

CSIR UGC NET 2018 Important Dates

Candidates need to fill the application form of CSIR UGC NET Exam within the dates given below. After the last date mentioned below no registration will be done. In order to avoid last minute rush, candidates are advised to apply early before the last date of submission also the hard copy of the online application form, duly completed should be sent by ordinary post to the address mentioned on time before March, 2018.

CSIR UGC NET 2018 Eligibility

Candidates who are willing to apply for CSIR UGC NET exam must fulfill the eligibility criteria as stated below:

  • Candidates with bachelor’s degree will be eligible only after getting registered/enrolled for PhD/Integrated PhD program within the validity period of two years.
  • Candidates who have completed their Ph.D. before 19 September 1992 can also apply for the eligibility test.

Nationality

All the aspirants who are applying for CSIR UGC NET 2018 must be the citizens of India.

Age Limit and Relaxation

The minimum age limit for the exam according to the authorities is 28 years. Relaxation can be granted to the candidates belonging to different categories (SC/ST/OBC) other than General.


How to Fill CSIR UGC NET 2018 Application Form

All the eligible candidates can apply for the examination via online mode only. The application form will be available on the official website of UGC/CSIR “www.csirhrdg.res.in”. Before applying, candidates are advised to go through detailed notification carefully.

Steps to apply

Candidates can visit the website and apply for the exam following the steps mentioned below:

  • Visit the official website of CSIR
  • Click on the link “Apply Online” on the homepage of the website.
  • This will open the Application Form.
  • Fill the form very carefully with all relevant details asked in it.
  • Candidates need to download Bank Challan Performa. Download it and fill it carefully.
  • Then proceed to deposit the fee.
  • After filling the complete details and fee pament, preview and recheck CSIR Application form 2018.
  • Then click the “Submit” button for final submission.
  • After the form submission, asystem generated Application Numberwill be assigned to the candidate.
  • Take printout of submitted application form and also get a photocopy of the same for future reference.
  • Attach your recent black & white photograph, and signature at the required places on the hard copy of the application form.
  • Attach all the important certificates with CSIR form and send along with CSIR marked copy of fee deposited Bank Challan on or before the last date to the address below:

Application Fee

Candidates applying for the test and may deposit their fee after verifying their eligibility in any branch of Indian Bank throughout the country through challan or via online mode. The payable application fee has been stated in the table below:

For online mode:

Documents Required with CSIR UGC NET 2018 Application Form

Enclosures required to be sent along with the application form are as follows:

  • One black and white passport size recent photograph.
  • The photo should be pasted on the application form and signed across by the candidate.
  • An attested copy of physically or visually handicap or SC/ST/OBC certificate.
  • Bank Challan slip.

Candidates need to send the CSIR application form in an envelope with “Application for Joint CSIR-UGC Test for JRF & LS (NET), June 2018” and, Subject Code, Online Generated Application Number, Centre code & Medium of Exam Code (1 for Hindi or 2 for English).

Mother’s nameName must match the name printed on birth certificate or your 10th certificate
Class 10 marksPercentage marks obtained in class 10 and the year of passing class 10
Class 12 marksDetails of the stream selected, board percentage mark and year of passing class 12
Graduation subjectsSubjects studied in graduation, university details and percentage marks obtained in qualifying examination.
Reservation detailsUpload the certificate issued and registered with government bodies.
Address detailsDetails of street, city, district, pin code etc.

Application Form Correction

Candidates can make corrections in UGC NET online application in case of any error in the submitted application. Corrections must be done on the printout of the application form and must be duly signed by the candidate.

For example:

If the candidate has made a mistake in the contact number then he/she should correct it on the hard copy of the form and sign there itself. More than one application form from a candidate opting different subject will not be accepted in any case.

Here are few questions which might come in mind of the aspirants while filling the application form.

Ques: Can I apply again with different email id when her/his information wrong?  

Ans: Yes, but only one application form should be submitted finally of that particular student.

Ques: What all documents must be sent along with the application form?

Ans: Documents listed below must be attached along with the application form:

  • Recent photograph of the candidate which must be black and white passport size photograph.
  • The photo should be pasted on the application form and signed across by the candidate.
