Karnataka PGCET 2018 Results will be declared in the month of July 2018 by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). Applicants can download their Karnataka PGCET result by accessing the official website of KEA www.kea.kar.nic.in.
Karnataka PGCET (Post Graduate Common Entrance Test) is a state level exam conducted by KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority). It is held for admitting aspirants into various full-time and part-time PG courses offered by the affiliated institutes across the state.

Karnataka PGCET 2018 Results will be available to applicants in the form of rank list. Students are advised to browse the official website regularly to know the exam related updates. Karnataka PGCET 2018 Rank list will contain basic information of the candidate and his result. The scores obtained by participants in the exam will be valid only for the ongoing academic year and will not be valid after it.

Karnataka PGCET 2018 Answer key will be released within 3 days of conducting the exam by the authorities of the state. Students can use this answer key to estimate a rough score by cross-checking their answers with it. The key will help them to know if they will be eligible for further rounds of admission procedure.
Applicants can follow the steps given below to download the answer key-
In case an aspirant finds a discrepancy or error in the question paper or answer key, they can register their objections regarding the key within the stipulated time. Students can send their objections along with justification supporting their claim to ‘Executive Director, Karnataka Examination Authority, Bangalore’ in person or by mail/ speed post. The expert committee will make corrections if necessary after checking the veracity of the registered complaints. Karnataka PGCET 2018 final answer key will be released along with the results.
Karnataka PGCET 2018 Merit List will be published on the official website around the 4th week of June 2018. It will contain names of aspirants in order of ranks secured by them in the PG entrance exam.
Tie breaking Criteria:
In case two or more participants secure same marks, then the following criteria will be used to resolve ties in Karnataka PGCET 2018 and determine the merit position of the individuals in the descending order-
Karnataka PGCET 2018 Counselling will be held from the 1st week of August 2018 by KEA. The schedule for counselling will be uploaded on the official website of the exam authority. Students short-listed through the merit list must attend the counselling rounds according to this schedule, in order of merit. Karnataka PGCET 2018 Counselling will consist of 5 steps.

Step 1: Online Registration
Aspirants who will qualify Karnataka PGCET 2018 will be eligible for counselling. Candidates will have to report to the closest Helpline Center to register themselves.
Step 2: Verification of Documents
After registration, aspirants will have to proceed to the verification counter where they will have to submit original along with a set photocopies of documents. Once the individual is deemed eligible he will be given a verification slip and a confidential key which will have login details about the online option form.
Step 3: Filling of Preference Form
Students must login using the details on the high security key to fill the preference form. KEA will publish a list that will include number of participating colleges, courses offered and available seats. Candidate can fill the preference form by referring to this list according to the college and course they wish to pursue. They can apply for multiple colleges and courses provided they are eligible for the same.
Step 4: Seat Allotment
Applicants will be allotted seats as per ranks acquired in Karnataka PGCET 2018, preferences of college and course. The details regarding the procedure of seat allotment will be given in Karnataka PGCET 2018 brochure.
Step 5: Reporting to the allotted College
Candidates must report to the allotted college for completing all the admission formalities and payment of fees.
