NEET PG 2017 Result to be declared soon

NEET PG 2017 Results will be declared by January 15, 2017. The exam concluded on December 13, 2016. The candidates who appeared for the exam can check their results by visiting the official website of NBE. The exam was of moderate difficulty level, only questions from Opthalmology and Pharmacology were tough as per the participating aspirants.

The candidates need to keep their Registration details ready to check their NEET PG 2017 result. The qualifying candidates will get admission in MS/MD and PG Diploma courses in colleges which accept NEET PG scores. The candidates who score minimum cutoff marks will be called for NEET PG Counselling.                        


How to download NEET PG 2017 Score Card?

Follow the steps mentioned below to download the NEET PG score card for the year 2017:

  1. Visit the official website of NEET PG.
  2. Enter the confirmation no., testing id and your date of birth as mentioned while registering for the exam.
  3. The candidates’ result will appear on the screen.
  4. The candidates can download and print the score card for future reference.

Note: If the candidates are unable to download the score card or locate their details, they can call at Candidate care no. “1800111800 or 011-45593000” from Monday to Friday (9:30 am to 5:30 pm). The candidates may further be asked for Identity verification.

Validity of NEET PG 2017 Result: The result of NEET PG 2017 will be valid only for 2017 admission session for MS/MD/PG Diploma courses and cannot be carried forward to next session of the exam.


NEET PG 2017 Seat Allotment

NEET PG 2017 Exam is conducted for admission to fill the following seats:

  1. All India 50% quota seats for MD/MS/PG diploma courses (all states except Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Telangana)
  2. State quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses for all states/ Union Territories of the country (all states including Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Telangana)
  3. MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses at Armed forces Medical Services Institutions.
  4. MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses at all Private Medical Colleges/Institutes, Deemed universities across India.
  5. DNB Broad Specialty Courses (January 2017 Academic Session)

NEET PG 2017 Qualifying Criteria

The minimum qualifying criteria for NEET PG 2017 is as follows:

Note: If any candidate belonging to reserved category has the rank in unreserved category, they can claim admission in UR category or their category, as per their choice. The candidates who score equal marks will be selected on the basis of Tie Breaker Criteria in which inter se merit is considered (according to age, older candidates are preferred over younger candidates.)


NEET PG 2017 Counselling

After the announcement of NEET PG Merit List, the short listed candidates are called for NEET PG 2017 Counselling for which the candidates have to register online. If the candidate has qualified according to the Merit list of NEET PG but is not called for counselling for All India Quota seats, the candidate will still be eligible for State Quota seats. All qualifying candidates who have obtained minimum cutoff marks or five times the no. of seats will be called, whichever is less will be called for counselling.
