IOCL Recruitment 2017: Apply for 68 Technician Apprentices posts

IOCL is inviting applications for the post of 68 Technician Apprentices posts in pipelines division. The online application form is available from January 14, 2017 to February 13, 2017. Candidates having diploma in Engineering are eligible to apply. The selection of candidates is based on written test followed by a personal interview. The consolidated stipend of Rs. 750 will be payable to the Technician Apprentices. Here, candidates can check the following table for important dates of IOCL Recruitment 2017 as mentioned below:

IOCL Recruitment Eligibility

Candidates should have a full-time diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Telecommunication/ Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized university. They must have secured at least 50% of marks in aggregate. There is a relaxation of 5% of marks in aggregate for SC/ ST category.

Age Limit

The age of candidate should not be less than 18 years and not be more than 24 years. The age limit will be calculated as on January 14, 2017. The upper age is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ ST category and 3 years for OBC category.


IOCL Recruitment 2017 How to Apply

Candidates willing to apply for the post of Technician Apprentices under IOCL Recruitment. They must check the following steps to know the application procedure which are given below:

  1. Visit the official website of IOCL i.e. www.iocl.com
  2. Click on the CAREERS option and go to the notification. Search the link of plis.indianoilpipelines.in for registration process.

  1. Fill up the personal, qualification, experience details in the application form and click on register button.
  2. Upload the scanned copy of recent photograph and signature and click on the final submit.
  3. Verify the entered details in the application form and take a printout of the same for its future reference.

IOCL Recruitment Selection process

The selection of candidates is based on written test and personal interview. Candidates need to secure minimum 40% of marks to qualify each stage of the selection process. The final selection of candidates will be based on aggregate of written test and personal interview marks. They will be called to attend the personal interview in the ratio of 1:3 for each seat. The selected candidates in the order of merit will be offered the apprenticeship. The duration of apprenticeship is one year from the date of engagement.

The written consists of 85 objective questions. It is comprising of 60 questions on concerned diploma level and 25 questions on general aptitude/ reasoning/ awareness. The duration of written test is 120 minutes. The written test will be of 85 marks and interview will be of 15 marks. One marks will be awarded for every correct response and there will be no negative marking.

Pay Scale

The stipend amount will be given to the Technician apprentices is Rs-7530. In addition to the stipend, an amount of Rs-2500/- per month towards stationary, conveyance and miscellaneous expenses will be reimbursed as per company’s rules.


IOCL Recruitment General Instructions

Candidates can go through following points to know the general instructions of IOCL which are given below:

  • Candidates have to produce all original certificates and have to submit the attested copies of the same at the selection process.
  • Candidates with higher professional qualification such as B.Tech/ MCA or equivalent will not be considered for selection.
  • In case of tie for final shortlisting for engagement, the candidate with the higher percentage of marks in the required qualification will be preferred.
  • IOCL reserves the right to reject any candidate at any stage of selection process with any valid any reason. Canvassing in any form will be the result of disqualification.
  • During the period of Apprenticeship, apart from monthly stipend as prescribed above, no other monetary such as accommodation, HRA, conveyance, medical facility etc. will be admissible to apprentices. Candidates have to make their own arrangement for accommodation, conveyance, medical etc.
