KVPY 2018 Admit card

Candidates can download the KVPY 2018 admit card in October 2018. The admit card can be downloaded from the official website http://www.kvpy.iisc.ernet.in. Students are advised to download the admit card before the exam.

  • Admit card for KVPY 2018 will be issued only to SA, SB and SX stream candidates.
  • They are required to fill their Application Number and Date of Birth.
  • KVPY exam is usually held in the month of November.
  • KVPY 2018(Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana 2018) is a national level scholarship exam organized by Indian Institute of Science.
  • Application No. is different from Roll No. and is generated once you have successfully applied for the exam.

Admit card for the examination is important as it acts as the individual identity of the candidates opting for the examination. It allows the examination controllers to recognize the student and allow him/her to sit in the exam.


How to download KVPY 2018 Admit Card?

KVPY Admit card can be downloaded from the website given. It is available online only, no offline hall ticket is sent to the candidates. Steps to download the admit card are as follows:

  • First, visit the official website of KVPY exam.
  • The link to the website is www.kvpy.iisc.ernet.in
  • Click on the ‘About KVPY’ tab from the list of tabs.
  • On this page, scroll to the bottom and click on ‘News and Highlights’.
  • You will be redirected to the news page.
  • In this section, you will see the heading ‘KVPY 2018 Admit card’. Click on the link.
  • Enter your Application No. and Date of Birth to log in.
  • After carefully filling the details, click on ‘Generate Admit Card’ button.
  • The admit card will be displayed on your screen.
  • Now, download the admit card and take a print out on A4 size paper.

Details on KVPY 2018 Admit Card

The admit card works as a proof of identity at the examination venue. Students without the admit card are not allowed to sit in the examination. For verification purpose, there are some details of the candidate on the Admit Card.

Discrepancy in the KVPY 2018 Admit Card

KVPY admit card bears the personal details of the candidate which were filled by the candidate during the time of registration. It is rare that the generated admit card contains mistakes. There is no provision of correcting the errors. In case of any problem with the generated KVPY admit card, students can reach out to the office. The contact details are given below.

The phone numbers are active between 10 AM to 5 PM in the evening. Saturday and Sunday are Holidays.

It is mandatory to bring the KVPY Admit card to the examination venue. There are no documents that need to be carried by the candidates along with the KVPY 2018 hall ticket. But just to be sure and safe, candidates are advised to take their Aadhar or any ID proof.

KVPY 2018 Exam Day Instructions

Candidates have to reach the exam venue half an hour before the commencement of the examination. No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall after the exam has started. The KVPY 2018 exam day instructions are given below: -

  • Students have to take their KVPY admit cards with them on the day of the exam.
  • If the candidate fails to produce the admit card, he/she is not allowed to take the scholarship test.
  • Candidates cannot take sheets or any kind of papers with them to the exam venue.
  • Space for rough work is provided in the question paper.
  • Candidates have to fill their Roll No., Name and Signature on the OMR sheet in the given space.
  • Electronic gadgets of any kind like mobiles, calculators, pagers etc. are prohibited in the examination hall.
  • Only use of Black/Blue ball point pen is allowed.
  • Students should fill the bubbles properly while marking the answers.
  • Candidates should handle the paper carefully, mutilating or folding of question paper is not allowed.
  • Do not write or mark outside the defined areas on this OMR answer sheet as it may invalidate the OMR answer sheet. Do not write inappropriate matter or scribble on this sheet.
  • They have to hand over the OMR Sheet to the invigilator after the time is over. However, candidates are allowed to take the KVPY question paper with them.
