CTET 2018 Result

CTET 2018 Result is expected to be out in the 1st week of April 2018. Candidates who have appeared for the exam in February will be able to download their results from the official website, www.ctet.net.in.

  • Registration number and password must be entered to download the result.
  • CTET score will give candidates eligibility to be employed as a teacher in Central government schools like KV, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools.
  • The scores will be valid for schools under the administrative control of union territories and CBSE affiliated schools.
  • Candidates will be given a merit certificate on the basis of performance in CTET.
  • Applicants of the general category have to score a minimum of 60% marks to clear the exam.
  • Reserved category candidates have to score a minimum of 55% marks to clear the minimum CTET cut off.
  • Candidates can obtain CTET qualifying certificate by paying a fee of INR 200 or INR 400 at the nearest CTET administrative center.

CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) will be conducted in the month of February 2018. CTET Eligibility Certificate will be valid for 7 years from the declaration of the result which will be given to candidates scoring more than 60%. This test only fulfills an eligibility criterion and does not confirm an appointment as a teacher.

How to Check CTET 2018 Result?

CTET 2018 Result can be accessed from the official website. These simple five-step process must be followed to get access to the result:

  • Go to the official website- www.ctet.nic.in.
  • Look for the link ‘latest news’ and click on it.
  • Click on news header stating ‘CTET 2018 Result’.
  • Post clicking, you will be directed to a new page.
  • On this page, put in the details of the roll number, father’s name or other details as asked on the page and click on ‘submit’.
  • Your result will be declared on the screen.

Aspirants can appear in paper 1 or paper 2 or both. Candidates appearing for paper 1 are eligible to teach students up to class I-V. Paper 2 is for the candidates who wish to teach class VI-VIII. CTET Marks certificate will be valid only for a period of 7 years.


Details Present in CTET 2018 Result

CTET 2018 Result contains details of marks obtained by a candidate in individual subjects and the total score obtained by the candidate. Results are expected to be out in April 2018. The result will be displayed in the online mode only. The details present in CTET Result are as follows:

  • Roll Number
  • Name
  • Father’s/Husband Name
  • Category
  • Subject Name
  • Marks obtained by candidate in paper 1/paper 2
  • Marks obtained by the candidate in language section 1
  • Marks obtained in language section 2
  • Marks obtained in Mathematics section/social studies/any other subject selected by the candidate
  • Total marks obtained by the candidate
  • Overall CTET 2018 Score/Marks

CTET 2018 Merit List

CTET 2018 Merit List will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by a candidate in the exam. Total marks secured in the exam will be used for preparing the merit list. Two separate merit lists will be prepared for candidates who wish to teach students from class I-V and candidates of class VI-VIII.

Merit list will be available in the form of PDF document. Candidates must have scored a minimum of 90 marks out of 150 marks to get their name in CTET 2018 Merit List. Candidates of reserved category must have secured 83 marks out of 150 to get their names in the merit list. The merit list will contain the name of candidates in descending order of marks.

Tie-breaking Criteria

In the case of a tie, candidates will have to go through a tie-breaking process. The preference will be granted in following order:

  • Marks obtained in language paper 1 will be compared.
  • Marks obtained in language paper 2 will be compared.
  • Marks in Mathematics/social science/any subject selected by the candidate will be compared.
  • A candidate whose name comes first in the alphabetical order.

CTET 2018 Cut Off

CTET 2018 Cut Off for each class group is different. Cut off list for class I-V and class VI-VIII will be prepared separately. CTET 2018 Cut Off will vary by 5 % according to the category details. The cut off is announced after the declaration of result. Female candidates will not get any reservation.

The total marks are 150 for both the groups. CTET 2018 Cut Off depends upon the following factors:

  • Total number of registrations for CTET 2018
  • Candidates appearing for CTET 2018
  • Difficulty level of exam
  • Total seats available
  • Sectional score of candidate
