NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
CTET 2018 Application Form will be available in the month of December 2017 for February session. Forms will be available for a duration of one month. Candidates wishing to attempt CTET must apply online by visiting the official website at www.ctet.nic.in.
CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) is conducted by CBSE as an eligibility test for the selection of Primary Stage and Elementary Stage teachers. A 5-day window for form correction will be available for candidates. Offline form correction will not be entertained by the authority.

Candidates must login to www.ctet.nic.in to fill CTET 2018 Application Form. Clicking on the link ‘Apply online’ will direct candidates to an instructions page that will provide basic instructions on the application procedure. After reading the instructions carefully, candidates can click on the link ‘Proceed to Apply Online’.
STEP 1: Filling the Form
Applicants must fill in all the details asked carefully. After completing the filling part, they can click on the ‘Next’ button. There is also a ‘Reset’ button. Clicking on the ‘Reset’ button will reset all the fields on the application form. After clicking on the ‘Next’ button, candidates will be directed to a Review Page. Here candidates can check all the details provided by him/her. If they find the need to change any particular detail, they can click on the ‘back’ button. If there are no changes required, candidates can click on the ‘Final Submit’ button.
Candidates will be given a registration number. They must note down this number and keep it safe.
The various details that candidates are needed to fill out in CTET 2018 application is classified into the following categories.
Step 2: Uploading of Documents
The second step in filling CTET 2018 Application Form is the uploading of the photograph and signature of candidates.
Step 3: Paying the Application Fee
Upon successfully uploading the scanned images of the photograph and the signature, candidates will automatically be directed to the payment page. Here candidates must either make the fee payment online or can download the e-challan. E-challan will have to be submitted at any Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank.
Step 4: Printing the Confirmation Page
Following the fee payment stage, candidates can proceed to the page where they can download the Confirmation Page. One must keep this Confirmation Page along with a copy of the e-challan or the fee receipt safely.
The application fee varies with category and number of papers applied for. The table below summarizes the fee required to apply for CTET 2018.

Candidates must have the following documents and information ready at the time of filling and completing the online procedure.
Candidates are given a unique registration number after completing the first stage of filling CTET 2018 Application Form. Candidates must use this registration number to log in to the payment portal. In case one misplaces or loses this registration number after noting it down, they can retrieve the registration number by visiting the official site for applying online and clicking on ‘Forgot Registration Number?’.
After filling in essential details such as candidate’s name, mother’s name, father’s name and date of birth and selecting the category and papers applied (Paper I or Paper II or both), candidates must enter the security pin shown below. Candidates will then be able to retrieve his/her registration number.
Candidates must fill CTET 2018 Application Form carefully and try to avoid making errors while filling the form. It is advisable to cross check all the details filled in before the final submission of the form. However, in spite of all the precautions candidates take there may be errors in the filling up of details. There is scope for correcting the erroneous information provided. Candidates can log into the official portal and can make the corresponding changes in the time period specified for making these corrections.
Candidates must provide the following information to make corrections:
The time period, wherein the online corrections are accepted, will be mentioned in the official CTET 2018 information bulletin along with the schedule of the examination. Candidates must make sure that they submit all the corrections within the stipulated time period. Any attempts to change the wrong details after the given time period will be unsuccessful.
One important point to note in this regard is that the corrections have to be made online only. Candidates cannot attempt to change any details in offline method i.e., candidates are not supposed to send any fax or post to CTET office mentioning the corrections as these will not be considered. Once corrections are made, download the modified and revised confirmation page. The confirmation page bearing the old information before corrections will no longer be valid.
