Check CTET 2016 Answer Key for Sept 18 Exam

CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has released the official Answer Key and OMR Sheet for CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) which was held on September 18, 2016. Candidates who gave the CBSE CTET can now check the same on CTET Official Website- ww.ctet.nic.in. They will be available from October 15, 2016 to October 19, 2016. 

The candidates should check the CTET Answer Key and the scanned OMR sheets and submit challenges against any answer mentioned on the Answer key in prescribed format through online mode only. It is important for all the candidates submitting challenges to upload it with legitimate documents by October 19, 2016 (midnight). Central Teacher Eligibility Test, CTET is conducted twice a year by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The exam is attempted for recruitment of Primary and Elementary teaching jobs in schools owned by the government or central government, unaided private schools and schools under the administrative control of union territories. All aspirants seeking to join the education sector as teachers are required to appear for CTET.

Please Note: Candidate needs to make sure that they check the answers of the question paper set/code only while estimating marks obtained. Candidate can only estimate their marks as per these keys, but the calculation of scores for CTET results will be done on the basis of official CTET answer key released by CBSE.

Steps to Download CTET Answer Key and OMR Sheet

For the candidates who were eagerly waiting for the CTET Answer Keys and OMR Sheet for CBSE CTET, can now take a sigh of relief. Now, they are available on the CTET Official Website. In order to have an estimate about their performance, one can go through the below mentioned steps to download the Answer Keys for CBSE CTET:

  • Visit the official website of CTET board- http://ctet.nic.in/CMS/Public/Home.aspx
  • Then at home page one will find a tab- “Download of OMR Sheet, Answer Key and Submission of Key Challenge for CTET SEPT 2016” on left side
  • One will then have to click on the link and they will be redirected to new page.
  • The candidate will then have to fill the details like their CTET Roll Number and Date Of Birth
  • After filling all the required details, click on submit.
  • Once the details are submitted, then one will be able to see their CTET Answer key.
  • Download and take a printout for getting the expected performance.

Note: If the candidate is willing to obtain a photocopy of OMR sheet to keep with himself/herself for future reference, he/she can get a copy of it by paying an amount of INR 500 per paper. The payment can be made through demand draft in favor of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education drawn on any nationalized bank and payable at Delhi. How to calculate CTET marks from CTET Answer Keys

To obtain an idea about your score in CTET, cross check your answers from CTET answer key. Candidate needs to ensure that they are matching keys against the question paper or set attempted during the exam.  Below is the check list for the help of candidates to observe and calculate marks by referring to CTET answer key:

  • An aspirant is firstly required to check the number of options they have marked correctly in the exam.
  • Candidate will be awarded one mark for each correct answer.
  • Candidate need not to worry about negative marking, as there is no negative marking in CTET 2016 September exam.

CTET 2016 Expected Cut Off

The candidate needs to qualify the CTET Cutoff marks in order to qualify the Central Teacher Eligibility Test. Applicants who have written CTET needs to secure at least 60% and above marks, for which they will be issued Eligibility/Marks Certificate. CTET qualifying certificate will be valid for seven years from the date of declaration of CTET Result. This provision is for all the categories.

CTET 2016 Marks certificate

Candidate may obtain his / her CTET Marks Certificate from the official website post Result Declaration of CTET. Marks certificate provided to the candidate after recording his / her roll number will be as follows:

  • A candidate’s mark certificate will hold candidate’s roll number at the top. Next will be the particulars that were registered during the registration process such as candidate’s name, mother’s name, father’s name and category.
  • After the above-mentioned particulars, subject names and marks obtained by candidate will be mentioned.

Re-issuance of Marks Certificate

An applicant can apply for re- issuance of marks certificate. For this, candidate must pay the prescribed fee through demand draft in favour of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education. The Demand Draft must be drawn on any nationalized bank and it must be payable at Delhi. Candidate can get the format for applying for duplicate marks certificate from the official website of CTET 2016 examination.

Validity of CTET 2016 Marks Certificate

A candidate can attempt for CTET examination to acquire a CTET certificate. A person who has already qualified CTET may also appear for it again to improve his / her score. CTET 2016 marks certificate will be considered valid for appointment for seven years from the date of declaration of the CTET Result.

CTET 2016 Result

Candidates will have to wait till November, 2016 for CTET result as the results for the same will be announced in the second week of November. CBSE will declare the results and candidates can trace the following steps in order to check CTET Result:

  • In order to check his / her result candidate must visit any of these websites www.ctet.nic.in, www.cbse.nic.in or www.cbseresults.nic.in.
  • For the next step, candidate is required to click on the link that says, ’Results of Central Teacher Eligibility Test-Sep 2016’.
  • Following above steps, candidate will be directed to the login page.
  • Candidate must enter his / her roll number provided to him / her during the registration or from the admit card for CTET 2016.

CTET Selection Process

Any candidate who has scored above 60% marks is considered to have cleared CTET and after clearing the exam, successful aspirant can apply to the relevant teacher vacancies in different school and undergo a selection procedure varying from school to school.

The Selection Process generally includes a written test followed by a personal Interview. The main aim of the Selection Process is check the aptitude of the candidates applying for the job.
