NDA 2018 Application Form

NDA 2018 (National Defence Academy) Examination will be conducted twice a year by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). Official notification for NDA (I) 2018 Application Form will be released by the 3rd week of January 2018. For NDA (II) Application Form, official notification will be published by the second week of June 2018.

The last day of form submission for both the sessions are:

  • NDA (I)- second week of February 2018.
  • NDA (II)- last week of June 2018.

NDA Exam (II) will be conducted in the month of September 2018.

Candidates between 16.5 and 19.5 years of age and passed or will be passing their 10+2/HSC are eligible to fill the NDA 2018 Application Form. Only male unmarried aspirants are eligible to apply for NDA Examination.

There is no offline mode available to fill NDA 2018 Application Form. Candidates have to fill NDA 2018 Application Form in the online mode only via www.upsc.gov.in. NDA 2018 Admit Card for NDA(I) and NDA(II) will be announced one or two weeks before the examination.

NDA 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Before filling up NDA 2018 Application Form, all candidates must be aware of the eligibility criteria set by the UPSC. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for NDA Exam.

All candidates should meet the eligibility criteria set by UPSC to apply for the exam. NDA 2018 Eligibility Criteria are given below:

Nationality:

  • Candidates should be a citizen of India/a subject of Nepal/a subject of Bhutan or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Burma, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and East African Countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zaire, Malawi and Ethiopia or Vietnam, with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  • A Tibetan refugee who came over to India with the intention of permanently settling in India before January 01, 1962.

Age Limit:

  • NDA-I Age Limit: students must have born between July 02, 1998, to July 01, 2002.
  • NDA-II Age Limit: candidates should have born between July 02, 2000, to July 01, 2003.

Qualification Criteria:

  • Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam organized by the State Education Board or a University.
  • For Air Force and Naval of NDA and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at Indian Naval Academy: Candidates should have cleared the 12th or equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics subjects.

Physical Standards:

  • Students should be medically fit as per the norms set by National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination.
  • Candidates have to go through the medical examination organized by the Military Hospital after being recommended at the SSB.

How to Fill NDA 2018 Application Form?

NDA 2018 Application Form will be available via online mode through the UPSC website. NDA 2018 Registration will be done in two parts. In Part I Registration, candidates have to fill their personal, qualification, communication & other required details. Candidates will then receive a registration number.

In Part II, students have to select the exam centers and make the fee payment through online or offline mode. Upload the scanned images of photograph and signature.

Part I - NDA Registration Process

Candidates can fill the NDA 2018 Application Form from the official website of UPSC:

  • Name: Candidates will have to enter the name as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary examination certificate.
  • Gender: Only male candidates are allowed to apply for NDA 2018.
  • Date of Birth: Candidates date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary examination certificate
  • Father’s & Mother’s Name: While entering father’s and mother’s name applicant should not use any prefix such as Shri or Dr., etc.
  • Nationality: Should opt from Indian/Others.
  • Marital Status: Only unmarried candidates are eligible to apply for NDA.
  • Fee Remission Claimed: Admissible only to SC/ST sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs
  • Educational Qualification: Applicants have to select ‘passed’ or ‘appearing’ in 10+2/HSC
  • Address: Candidates should fill the correct address for communication, including his/her mobile number and e-mail address

Part II - Payment of Examination Fee; Image Uploading, Exam Centre Selection & Declaration Form

This stage of NDA 2018 application process involves three steps.

1. Payment of examination fee

Application fee of INR 100 has to be paid either by submitting the money in any branch of SBI by cash, or by using net-banking/Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card of SBI. Candidates who belong to SC/ST category and sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs are exempted from fee payment.

Payment Mode: The payment of NDA 2018 examination fee can be done any of the three modes given below.

  • Online via any Debit/Credit Card or by using the internet banking of the State Bank of India and SBI Associate banks
  • In cash at any branch of state bank of India through the pay-in-slip generated by the online application process

2.    Selection of exam centers

Candidates will have to select exam center for NDA 2018 Exam from the given list of cities. Allotment of the examination centers will be done on the first-apply-first-allotment basis.

Uploading of Photograph and Signature

  • Applicants will have to upload their photograph and signature in .jpeg format.
  • The dimension of the photograph should not exceed 40 KB and must not be less than 3 KB in size.
  • The scanned image of the signature of candidates should not be less than 1 KB in size.
  • Candidates will have to click on ‘Confirm Upload’ button to submit their photograph and signature.

After completing Part-I and Part-II of NDA 2018 Application Form, applicants are advised to take a printout of the same.

Candidates are not required to send the hard copy of the filled in NDA 2018 Application Form or any other document/certificate/testimonial to UPSC.

NDA 2018 Application Form will contain details that are essential for the release of NDA 2018 Admit Card.

  • Personal Details: Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Father’s & Mother’s Name, Nationality, Marital Status, address, email ID, mobile number

  • Fee Remission Claimed
