CLAT Practice Papers

Previous year analysis of LR Section and Expectations

From the year 2013 to 2015, popular logical reasoning questions were from the topics of distance, direction, coding decoding, data sufficiency, seating arrangement and syllogisms. Syllogism involves logical statements, application of deductive reasoning followed by conclusion.

In the year 2013, maximum LR questions involved puzzles whereas only one question was asked on series completion. Year 2015 saw certain new topics being included in the foray of logical reasoning. Questions on numbers & symbols, facts & figures, calendar and letter interchange were the new entrants.

The upcoming examination is also expected to include few new topics. For a well - rounded preparation candidates may look into questions on cause & effect, non - verbal reasoning and statement – course of action. Questions involving combination of two different concepts may also spring up in the LR section in the coming year.
