CLAT 2018 Results

CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) is a national level examination scheduled by 18 NLUs (National Law Universities). It is an All India Level Law Common Entrance Exam for the students seeking admission in integrated LL.B. and LL.M. program. Scores of CLAT 2018 will be considered by various private law colleges and government undertaking colleges across the country. This year CLAT exam is scheduled for second week of May 2018 and result will be announced on fourth week of May 2018.

Important Dates for CLAT 2018

The CLAT notification is expected to be released in the 4th week of December, 2017. Interested candidates can apply online via online interface called the CAPS (CLAT Admission Processing System). Candidates will have to sit for CLAT 2018 exam in the 2nd week of May, 2018 and the results may be out within 2 weeks’ time i.e. in the 4th week of May, 2017. How to Check CLAT 2018

CLAT 2018 exam will be held online. All the activities like filling the forms, downloading admit cards, checking the result can be done online on the login portal. Candidates can check CLAT 2018 results within two weeks after the commencement of the examination.

How to Download CLAT RESULTS 2018

As mentioned above, CLAT 2018 results are expected to be out in 4th week of May, 2017. Those who appeared for the exam must check the online portal regularly for the updates. The steps to download the CLAT 2018 Results are as follows:

  • Go to the official website of the CLAT – clat.ac.in
  • Click on the ‘Result’ link on the home page
  • Enter Registration Email ID and Password.
  • Click on Login tab and download the Score Board.
  • Take the print copy of the Score Board for further reference.

Candidates can use the CLAT 2018 score card for the admission to academic year 2018 -2019. The exam conducting authority will release the result with the merit list which contains candidates name, roll number, scores and rank etc.

CLAT 2018 Merit List

Merit list of CLAT 2018 depends upon candidate’s performance in the examination.

Important Instructions for merit list of CLAT 2018

  • CLAT 2018 Merit List will be published in a pdf format. With the merit list of CLAT 2018, candidates can check their secured rank and marks in the CLAT.
  • The CLAT merit list will show performance of test taker, number of candidates who sat for the test and state rank of candidates, if applicable.
  • CLAT 2018 Merit List was first issued in 2015 and it is on practice from that year to maintain transparency in the examination

Save the pdf format of merit list. Tie between the candidates with equal marks in CLAT 2018 will be resolved by the following process:

Preference will be given to the candidate who has,

  • Obtained higher marks in Aptitude section
  • Elder candidate in terms of age

If they have same age, then computerized draw of lots


CLAT 2018 Cutoff

CLAT 2018 cut off is the minimum score obtained by the candidate required to clear the examination. Cut off will decided on the basis of number of candidates who have appeared in the examination, availability of total seats and the difficulty level of the examination. CLAT cut off is declared after the announcement of result.

This table shows the cut off of National law school of India university. CLAT 2018 Cutoff will be declared by the various CLAT Participating institutions separately. The CLAT 2018 Cutoff will be calculated on the basis of difficulty level of the paper, availability of seats, average marks scored in the test and total test population. With the increase in number of candidates, the cut off is expected to increase. The difficulty of CLAT 2018 will decide the expected cut off. This year the cut off is expected to increase because competition level is higher.


CLAT 2018 Counselling

Counselling procedure is the process of locking the seat. Counselling process is done by CLAT Authorities after results are declared. For 2018 CLAT counselling, the important documents to be carried to the allotted institute have been listed below:

  • Class 10th Marks-sheet (For proof of Date of Birth)

CLAT 2018 Counselling process

Candidates will have to login to their respective CLAT 2018 accounts. Upon logging, they will be able to view one of the NLUs allotted to them as per the first CLAT 2018 seat allotment list and counselling round I.

The allotment of NLU will be at par with their merit list and preferred NLU as indicated by them during filling CLAT 2018 application form.

Candidates have to deposit INR 50,000 for CLAT 2018 counselling on the next day of the counselling and if they don’t deposit the fees then they will lose their allotted seat. After the fees will be deposited the counselling committee will issue the second seat allotment list mentioning the name of the candidates. The list will also indicate the candidates who have been upgraded/ shifted to a higher NLU arising out of the vacancy. Candidates who fail to deposit the CLAT 2018 counselling fee will be dropped out from the merit list of CLAT and their seats will be available for filling-up by the other candidates in the CLAT merit list.

Candidates who wish to withdraw from CLAT 2018 admissions will need to work out the ‘Withdrawal’ option after which an amount will be credited to their registered bank account after deducting INR 10,000 from deposited counselling fees. Those candidates who withdraw their allotted seat after the last date of the withdraw they will not receive any money. all the money will be taken as penalty.
