HPCET 2018 Admit Card

HPCET 2018 Admit Card will be available for down in the first week of March 2018. Candidates will have to download their admit card from www.himtu.ac.in.

  • HIMTU will release the admit card and will be made available for download on the official website
  • Candidates can download the admit card by entering the application number received at the time of registration.
  • In case, aspirant forgets his application number, it can be retrieved by answering the security question.
  • HPCET admit card is mandatory and should be carried to the examination. On failure of doing so, candidates will not be allowed to appear for the examination.

Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET) is conducted by Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HIMTU). Students who are seeking admission in HIMTU are required to qualify the entrance test.


HPCET 2018 Admit Card Dates

Candidates will be able to download HPCET 2018 Admit Card in the first week of May 2018. The admit card will be available on the official website.

How to Download HPCET 2018 Admit Card?

Candidates can view and download HPCET 2018 Admit Card from the official website. The admit card will not be sent via post, applicants are required to download and take the printout.

Steps to download HPCET 2018 Admit Card:  

  • Visit the HPCET official website, www.himtu.ac.in
  • Click on the link “Download HPCET 2018 Admit Card”
  • Enter Application number and Select Program from the drop-down menu
  • Alternatively, Name of the candidate and selecting the Program can also be entered to get the admit card.
  • Click submit
  • HPCET 2018 Admit Card will be available for download
  • Download and take an A4 size printout.

If any candidate forgets the application number:

  • In case candidate forgets the application number, application number can be found on the acknowledgment downloaded after submission of the online form.
  • The other method to get the application number is by retrieving it by answering the security question.

Details on HPCET 2018 Admit Card

HPCET 2018 Admit Card will display applicant’s information such as:

  • Candidate’s full name
  • Application number
  • Date and Time of the exam
  • Venue of the examination
  • Father’s Name
  • Category
  • Registered email ID
  • Program selected
  • Centre number, if applicable
  • Exam Time Schedule – Subject wise or Paper wise whichever is applicable.
  • Applicant’s photo and signature
  • Instructions to be followed
  • Admit card number

Admit card is duly signed by controller of examination. A print out of the admit card should be taken on A4 size only. The visibility of the photograph and signature should be ensured by the applicants. Any changes made in the entries or overwriting on the admit card is a punishable offense. Hence, the applicant should avoid such acts.


Discrepancy in HPCET 2018 Admit Card

All the information on HPCET 2018 Admit Card should be cross verified by the applicants. The visibility of applicant’s photograph, signature, and signature of the COE should be checked. In a case of any discrepancies are noticed by the applicants in the admit cards, the conducting authority should be contacted at the earliest.

Documents Required with HPCET 2018 Admit Card

Applicants should carry at least one original and valid photo identity card for verification on the day of the examination.

Candidates can carry any one identity proof of the listed ones below:

  • AADHAR card
  • College ID card
  • Driver’s License
  • Identification Affidavit signed by a gazetted officer
  • PAN Card
  • Passport
  • Voters ID

The visibility of the photograph and signature of the applicant should be essential. The valid identity should match the details mentioned on the admit card. The photo identity proof should be free of damage.


HPCET 2018 Exam Centers

At the time of online application, applicants are required to fill in their city in order to allot the exam center. If applicants cannot find the city they are residing, they should select a nearby city. The exam city is allotted based on the applicant’s selection of city. HPCET 2018 will be conducted in 16 cities in Himachal Pradesh.

Exam Day Instructions

Applicants should follow the instructions on the day of the examination:

  • Admit card should be checked carefully with respect to the accurate information such as name, center and exam venue.
  • Candidates have been issued the admit card on a provisional basis with the subject to fulfillment of the eligibility.
  • Applicants can enter the examination hall 30 minutes before the commencement of the test.
  • The essential materials such as geometry box, pencil, rubber, and stationery should be carried along.
  • If applicants require clipboards, they should ensure that they are free of any writing. Also writing anything on the clipboard during the test is not allowed.
  • Electronic devices or mobiles phones are not allowed inside the exam hall.
  • Any written material such as logbook or notebook is not permitted in the hall.
  • Folding or mutilating the OMR sheet is unacceptable.
  • Candidates should carry their own ball point pens (blue or black) of good quality to fill the answer circles on OMR sheet.
  • OMR sheet should be handed over to the Invigilator before leaving the exam hall.
  • Candidates are allowed to carry the question booklet with them

The circles on the OMR sheet should be filled completely. Half-filled circles, usage of dots or using tick marks and cross marks should be avoided.
