Sagar Dutta Medical College & Hospital, Kolkata MBBS admissions are done through NEET. Candidates having NEET Score more than the cut off marks are eligible for admission to MMBS program. NEET is a national level medical entrance test for admission to MMBS/ BDS course as it has replaced AIPMT and all the state level medical entrance since 2016. National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test is a national level offline exam conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) for admission to MBBS/ BDS program. After the declaration of NEET Result, each institute will release their separate cut off.

Sagar Dutta Medical College & Hospital, Kolkata is offering admission to MBBS program through NEET 2017. To be eligible to grab a seat in this College, candidate has to fulfill the mentioned criteria.

  • Candidate must be an Indian Citizen or Overseas Citizen of India. They must be of minimum 17 years of age at the time of admission on or before December 31, 2017. The upper age limit for admission seekers under All India Quota is 25 years for a period of 5 years for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates.
  • Candidates who have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology individually securing a minimum of 50% in 10+2 are eligible. For reserved category (SC/ST/OBC), there is a relaxation of 10% so they have to secure a minimum of 40% to be eligible. General physically handicapped candidates have to secure a minimum of 45%. Those candidates who are appearing in 10+2 examination in 2017 may also appear provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later on.

If two or more candidates have an equal score in the exam, preference will be given to the candidate having higher marks in Biology/Biotechnology in NEET 2017 or higher marks in Chemistry in NEET 2017 or candidate older in age.
