NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
To ensure smooth and transparent conduct of NEET 2017, CBSE has asked candidates to be well-dressed at exam center of NEET exam. These formal codes of conduct would assist in attempting the NEET 2017 Exam in a proper manner. This year to avoid any misconduct, strict instructions & dress code has been made. Students need to follow these instructions otherwise they might not be allowed to sit in the examination.
No shoes, big buttons, brooches or caps... CBSE has a long list of 'banned items' for those appearing for NEET 2017
CBSE has announced some strict exam guidelines for candidates as well as their parents. It has imposed certain strict restrictions, wherein students have been advised to wear ‘light colored clothes’ and half sleeves which do not have big buttons, badges, etc. Further, ornaments like rings, earrings, nose pin, chain, necklace, pendants, etc. will also have to be removed before entering the examination hall.
The entry time on exam day is 7:30 am. Candidates are advised to wear light colored clothes, and shoes are not allowed instead they can wear chappals or sandals. Also, any kind of stationery, communication devices, ornaments or watches is strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. From candidates being forced to wear low heels and slippers, to full-sleeved shirts and kurtas being banned to girl candidates being asked to untie their hair and not wear any clips or bands – the agencies, including CBSE, conducting the test this year forced the candidates to prepare for a lot more than only studying.
The Department Under the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India advised to the Following Dress Code for the Male & Female, which are as follows:
Male Candidate: Wear light color clothes – Jeans/ Pant/ Shirt (half sleeves only), the button of shirt should be medium size not big enough. The Kurta Pajama not allowed, Shoes are also not allowed. Wear only sleepers or sandals.
Female Candidate: Light clothes with half sleeves not having big buttons, brooch/badge, flower etc. with Salwar/ Trouser, Slippers, sandals with low heels are allowed. Shoes for female candidate are also not allowed.
In view of it and in an effort to curb malpractices during the exam, CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has issued guidelines for exam candidates. Among them is the list of items that students are not allowed to carry to the exam.

Candidates are not allowed to bring following list of items while coming to their allotted exam centers:
In case any candidate is found in possession of any of the barred items inside the center, it will be considered as use of unfair means and action will be taken against the candidate in accordance with the relevant provisions.
Candidates have to reach the exam centers before 9.30 am as no candidate will be allowed to enter the exam center after the scheduled time. Further, the conducting authority has advised candidates to reach their allotted exam centers two hours in advance so that they can avoid any unexpected delay. NEET 2017 will be of three hours duration to be held from 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM.
