Srirama Chandra Bhanja Medical College & Hospital (SCBMCH), Cuttack is a pioneer institute for medical studies in Eastern India. How to Get Admission in S.C.B. Medical College, Cuttack?

S.C.B. Medical College, Cuttack is a pioneer institution for medical studies. The college has an annual intake capacity of 250 students for MBBS and 50 students for BDS course. The college is recognized by MCI (Medical Council of India).

S.C.B. Medical College, Cuttack Admission Eligibility Criteria

The college offers admission to the aspirants for MBBS course subject to the fulfillment of these eligibility criteria

  • Nationality: Candidate must be a Citizen of India or Overseas Citizen of India.
  • Age Limit: Candidate must be of minimum 17 years of age at the time of admission on or before December 31, 2017. The upper age limit for admission seekers under All India Quota is 25 years. SC/ST/OBC candidates are offered a relaxation for a period of 5 years.
  • Educational Qualification: Candidates who have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology securing a minimum of 50% in PCB group is eligible. Physically handicapped candidates have to secure a minimum of 45%. For reserved category (SC/ST/OBC), there is a relaxation of 10% so they have to secure a minimum of 40% to be eligible. Aspirants who are appearing in 10+2 examination in 2017 may also appear provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later on.

If two or more candidates have equal score in the exam, preference will be given to

  • Candidate having higher marks in Biology/Biotechnology in NEET 2017.
  • Candidate having higher marks in Chemistry in NEET 2017.
  • Candidate older in age.

Candidates satisfying all the eligibility and qualifying criteria will be offered admission. The admission process includes the verification of the documents and fee submission.
