BUMAT 2018 Exam Pattern

BUMAT (Bharati Vidyapeeth Undergraduate Management Aptitude Test) is a national level entrance exam conducted every year for admitting aspirants into BBA and BCA courses offered by Bharati Vidyapeeth University and its affiliated institutes. Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, conducting body of BUMAT, has scheduled this test in first week of June 2018.

BUMAT 2018 will consist of 200 objective type questions of 1 mark each, negative marking will not be applicable. The mode of exam will be offline and medium of paper will be English.

Duration of the exam will be 2 hours 30 minutes. The question paper will be divided into four sections namely,

  • Logical Reasoning
  • Reading Comprehension
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Verbal Ability.

Exam Pattern in Detail

The duration of BUMAT 2018 examination is 2 hours 30 minutes. It will be conducted in offline mode, i.e., it is pen-paper based test. Following table summarizes Exam Pattern and Syllabus:

  • BUMAT 2018 pattern comprises of 200 questions categorized into four sections.
  • The student is provided 2 hours 30 minutes to complete the examination.
  • The pattern of BUMAT 2018 examination includes multiple choice questions (MCQs). 
  • Each question will carry 1 mark.

There is no negative marking for wrong answer.

Marking Scheme

The exam will be conducted in offline mode. Aspirants will have to mark their responses on an OMR sheet.

  • Candidates must choose the most appropriate option which he feels is the right answer.
  • Each correct response will fetch 1 mark and there will be no negative marking.
  • Each question is followed by 4 options, choose the correct option among the given

Reading Comprehension

The Reading Comprehension section analyzes how effectively a candidate reads a given passage. The objective of this section is to test the ability of the candidates to express the meaning of the content in the comprehension.

This portion analyses how effectively a candidate can read a given passage, analyze and apprehend the content in it. It aims to test the ability of the candidates to derive and express the meaning of the content given in the passage.

To attempt this section a student should make the habit of solving questions based on comprehension to increase their words read per minute speed and the speed of comprehending a passage.

Selecting the right books is very important for sure success in any exam. It reduces the efforts. Selecting the best books simplify your learning process and enhances your chances of doing best in the Exam.

Important Instructions

The students are required to abide by certain instructions on the day of BUMAT 2018 examination i.e. June 4, 2017.

  • Reporting time: The students should arrive at their respective test center 30 minutes before the commencement of examination.
  • The candidates should take the seat in the examination hall stating their respective Roll Number mentioned in their admit card 10 minutes before the commencement of examination.
  • No candidate is allowed to enter the examination hall 30 minutes after the commencement of examination.

Instructions for filling the answer sheet/OMR sheet of BUMAT 2018

While filling the OMR sheet the students should follow the instructions mentioned in the question booklet and accordingly fill the details. Any misappropriation of OMR sheet will lead to rejection of the student from the BUMAT examination.

  • Each question has 4 options. In the OMR sheet, the student should darken the circle corresponding to the most appropriate or the correct answer.
  • The students should use a HB pencil or a Blue or Black Ball Point pen
  • If the students are using a HB pencil, he/she can change the answer by properly erasing the previous answer. Otherwise, if the student is using ball point pen marking two answers will invalidate the question.
  • The answers being marked with tick marks will also be considered invalid.
  • The students must correctly fill his Roll Number, Test booklet Number, Name and go through the instructions given at the top of OMR sheet.
