MH CET Law 2018 Result

MH CET Law 2018 Results will be declared in the last week of May, 2018. Admission process for LLB 3 year and LLB 5-year degree course will begin soon after the declaration of results. Applicants can access their MH CET Law result by entering their login credentials on the official website www.dhe.mhpravesh.in .

The result of Law CET 2018 will specify the scores of candidates in the common entrance exam in the form of scorecards. The scorecards will be available online only and no hard copy will be sent to the aspirants.

Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Maharashtra will release the merit list of all candidates prepared on the basis of ranks secured by them. Only those candidates whose name appears in the merit list are eligible for the admission process. The admission to law colleges will be conducted via Centralized Admission Process (CAP). Applicants will have to register for the CAP rounds on the official website.

How to check MH CET Law 2018 Result?

MH CET Law 2018 Result will be announced around May 31, 2018 on the official. Each candidate will be notified via SMS on their registered mobile numbers about the declaration of results. A link to check the respective result will also be provided in the SMS sent on the registered mobile number. Aspirants can then check result and save their score card.

The organizing authority is not responsible to send the scorecard to any student by post. It should be noted that DHE does not publish the question paper and answer key of the Law entrance test. The result can be accessed online by following these few easy steps:

  • Log on to the official website.
  • Applicants must then click on ‘MH CET Law 2018 Result’ link.
  • You will be redirected to the results page.
  • Click on result link of LLB 3-year or LLB 5-year degree course accordingly.
  • Enter your login credentials such as roll number and date of birth as entered in the application form.
  • Click on ‘Submit’ button to view MH CET Law 2018 Result.
  • Verify all the details mentioned in the score card.
  • The result will be displayed in the form of scorecards. Applicants must download it and take a print out of the scorecard for further admission process.

Details on Scorecard

The results will be available to the aspirants in the form of scorecards. It is the sole responsibility of each candidate to keep a hard copy of the scorecard. MH CET Law 2018 Score Card will contain basic information of candidate and his result. The scorecard will be available for current academic year only. The details mentioned in scorecard are:

  • Full name of the candidate
  • Registration number
  • Roll number
  • Category
  • Total marks secured in MH CET Law 2018

If any candidate is not satisfied with his marks in MH CET Law 2018, he can apply for verification of results to the competent authority. In case there is a change in marks, the aspirants must then inform the designated representatives immediately for admission to the desired course.


MH CET Law 2018 Merit List

MH CET Law Merit List for the academic year of 2018-19 will be published on DHE website soon after the declaration of results. The organizing body will release 3 merit lists for LLB 3 year and LLB 5-year degree course according to candidature i.e.

  • Maharashtra State Candidature
  • All India Candidature
  • NRI/ PIO/ Foreign Nationals Candidature.

The merit list will contain names of candidates in order of merit and ranks secured by them in the entrance exam. All aspirants whose name appears in the list will be eligible for admission.


Tie-breaking Criteria

The tie breaking criteria will be applicable to resolve ties between MH CET Law 2018 applicants. Ties will be resolved by following the same order of criteria given by the CET Cell. The criteria for Maharashtra State and All India Candidature for both courses are stated as follows:

LLB 3-year Degree Course

  • Applicants with a higher percentage of marks in Qualifying Examination (Degree/ Post-Graduation Degree) will be preferred.
  • Next, aspirant with higher aggregate of marks in 10+2 (HSC or equivalent examination) will be ranked higher in the merit list.

LLB 5-Year Integrated Degree Course

  • Aspirant with a higher percentage of marks in qualifying examination (HSC or equivalent examination) will be ranked higher in the merit list.
  • If the tie still remains unresolved then, candidate with a higher percentage of marks in First Language at HSC or equivalent examination will be preferred.
  • The next criterion is student with a higher percentage of marks in SSC or equivalent examination.
  • Student with higher marks in English at SSC or equivalent level will be preferred.

The tie-breaking criteria for NRI/ PIO and Foreign National applicants are similar but more importance is given to marks secured in English at 10 and 10+2 levels.


MH CET Law 2018 Cut Off

MH CET Law 2018 Cut Off score will be decided by each participating institute. It is not announced by DHE separately. The cut off marks will depend on:

  • Number of aspirants
  • Availability of seats
  • Marks and Ranks secured
  • Category
  • Candidature type.

MH CET Law 2018 Counselling

The counseling and admission process will be carried out through Centralized Admission Process (CAP). Aspirants need to register for CAP rounds beginning from June 2018. Students are advised to browse the DHE website regularly to know about all the updates.

The steps involved in MH CET Law 2018 Centralized Admission Process are:

  • Visit the official website.
  • On the official website, Category wise seats in various institutes will be displayed for CAP Rounds I, II and III.
  • Fill up the application form and choose the preferences of institutes in decreasing order.
  • The options once selected by student and confirmed by the competent authority cannot be changed till the 3rd CAP round.
  • Once done, aspirants will be allotted an institute by CET authority.
  • Aspirants will have a choice to either ‘Freeze’ or ‘Float’ the seat allotted.
  • If the student chooses the ‘Freeze’ option, his seat in the particular institute will be confirmed and he will not be considered for further rounds.
  • If the applicant chooses the ‘Float’ option, the seat offered to him will be confirmed but if he gets admission to an institution of higher preference then he will accept it or else continue with the institution previously offered to him.
  • Once candidate has accepted the seat, he must visit the allotted centre for verification of documents and scrutiny of certificates.

Documents required during Counselling

The eligibility of candidates will be verified at the allotted centre. Hence, students must carry the necessary documents and certificates along with them. NRI/PIO and Foreign Nationals as also applicants acquiring admission through various reserved quotas must submit proof of the same. The documents required by aspirants according to their candidature type will be given in CAP Brochure.

  2. HSC or equivalent Mark sheet
  3. Graduate or Post-Graduate Degree Mark Sheet
  4. MH CET Law 2018 Score Card and Hall Ticket.
  5. School Leaving Certificate
  6. Certificate of Indian Nationality
  7. Domicile Certificate
  8. Caste Certificate
  9. PwD Certificate.
  10. Ex-Serviceman or Active Defense Service Certificate
  11. Jammu & Kashmir Migrant Certificate
  12. NRI/ PIO/ Foreign National/ Worker in Gulf Country Certificate
