MH CET LAW 2018

MH CET Law 2018 Registration will be held in the month of March 2018. MH CET Law is conducted for admission into 5 year LLB and 3 year LLB programs. The exam is conducted by Government of Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai.

MH CET Law 2018 will include 150 MCQs each carrying 1 mark to be completed within 2 hours. Candidates can appear for the entrance test if,

  • He/she has acquired a minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 examinations (for 5-year LLB program)
  • He/she has acquired a minimum of 45% marks in undergraduate degree course (for 3-year LLB program)

 Those who wish to appear for the exam must apply online on the official website. No provision for offline applications will be provided. The application fee will also be paid via online mode by using:

  • Credit card
  • Debit card
  • Net banking

MH CET Law 2018 Eligibility

Candidates can apply only after they satisfy the given eligibility criteria below:

Nationality

  • A candidate should be an Indian national.
  • Aspirants must have the domicile of Maharashtra state

Academic Qualification

LLB (5 years) course

  • Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized board.
  • Applicants must have 45% in the qualifying exam and 40% for reserved categories.

LLB (3 years) course

  • Candidate must hold the graduate or post graduate degree from any recognized institution in any stream.
  • Aspirants must have 45% in the qualifying exam and 40% for reserved categories.

Note: Candidates appearing in the final year of graduation are also eligible and can apply for MH CET exam.


MH CET Law 2018 Registration

Candidates are required to read the information carefully before applying for MH CET Law 2018 registration.

  • MH CET Law 2018 registration will begin in the month of March 2018.
  • The last date for registration will be in the month of April 2018.
  • Aspirants must have the following details in hand to fill in the application form:
  1. Valid email Address
  2. Valid Mobile Number
  3. Name of the Candidate as on official documents
  4. Date of birth
  5. Photograph
  6. Signature
  • After filing the above details, candidates will be provided with a unique registration number and password for future login.
  • They will also receive an Email or SMS containing the registration number and password to the registered mobile number or E-Mail id. So, candidates are required to enter the valid details and check before submission to avoid any problem later.
  • After filling the form and paying the fees, candidates must take a printout of the application form for future reference.

MH CET Law 2018 Application form

Candidates now need to login with the unique id and password that was allotted to them for the further process of application. Steps to apply for MH CET Law 2018

  • Candidates need to visit the official website www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in.
  • Click on the link “Click here for New Registration” on the home page
  • Then enter the details asked like contact, address, candidate’s name, e-mail id and mobile number.
  • Details asked in the form will include:

Guardian detail: It will include the name of candidate’s parents and their profession.

Qualification detail: The candidate needs to add 10, 10+2, graduation details in this column, also the post-graduation, if completed.

Applicant’s detail: This will include Candidates

  • name,
  • age,
  • category(General, OBC,SC/ST),
  • email address,
  • mobile number.
  • Click on ‘Validate your details’ and ‘Save and Next’ button to validate the filled-in details in the application.
  • On this next page candidates need to upload the scanned image of signature and photograph.
  • Click on the Preview tab and verify the application form before final submission.
  • Then the candidates need to proceed to make payment by clicking on ‘Payment’ tab.
  • Click on ‘Submit’ button for final submission.
  • Candidates must preserve the e-receipt which will be generated after the successful completion of payment process.

Note:

  • Size of scanned image of signature: 140 x 60 pixels of file size 10-20kb.
  • Size of scanned photograph: 200px x 230px of file size 20-50kb

The application fee is to be paid through online mode only.

MH CET Law 2018 Admit Card

MH CET 2018 Admit Card will be released on the official website in the last week of April 2018. Only those candidates who have successfully submitted their applications for MH CET will be allowed to download the admit card.

  • The admit card will only be available in online mode.
  • Candidates need their application number/registration number and password to access the admit card.
  • It is compulsory to carry admit cards to the examination centre on the day of examination.
  • Candidates who fail to carry their admit cards will not be allowed to appear for the examination.

Steps to download MH CET 2018 Admit Card

Candidates will be able download the admit card from the website before the exam by following the steps below:

  • Visit the official website- www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in.
  • Click on the link “Admit Card Download”
  • Enter Registration number and password/Date of Birth.
  • Then click on ‘login’ button
  • MH CET Law 2018 Admit Card will appear on your computer screen.
  • Download and print the admit card

Details on Admit Card

Candidates must cross-check all the details mentioned on the admit Card. The details mentioned on admit card includes:

  • Name of the candidate
  • Roll number
  • Venue or name of the examination center
  • Timings of the examination
  • Rules and regulations to be followed on exam day

Documents Required with Admit Card

Along with the admit card, candidates are required to carry below mentioned documents along with them on the day of the examination.

  • Photo identity such as PAN card and Aadhar Card
  • Print out of the Application Form
  • One recent photograph that the candidate uploaded during applying for MH CET application form

NOTE: Please note that if any of the candidates forget to carry the above mentioned documents, along with the admit card then she/he may not be allowed to appear for the examination.

MH CET Law 2018 Exam Center

During the registration process, the candidates are required to enter their preferences for MH CET Law 2018 Test Centers. Once the candidates enter their choice of MH CET Law exam centre, it will be considered final.

Important Points

Some points which candidates must keep in mind before they go for MH CET Law 2018 exam:

  • Reach the exam hall 30 minutes before the time mentioned in the admit card.
  • Candidates must carry the admit card and the Photo ID to the examination hall.
  • No electronic gadgets are allowed inside the exam hall.
  • Even if the candidates have completed the test before the given time, they will not be allowed to leave the examination hall before the completion of time.

MH CET LAW 2018 Exam held for 3-year LLB program contains 150 MCQs. Each question carries 1 mark. The exam is divided into 4 sections namely:

  • Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning
  • General Knowledge and Current Affairs
  • Logical and Analytical Reasoning
  • English

There is NO negative marking and the time duration of exam will be 2 hours.

MH CET Law 2018 Syllabus

MH CET Law 2018 Cut Off

Cut Off is the minimum score set by the conducting authority for all the candidates. Candidates who score equal or more marks as per the specified cutoff score will be declared as qualified.

MH CET Law 2018 Counselling

Candidates are called for MH CET Counselling through Central Admission Process (CAP). This counselling and admissions process is conducted by DTE, Maharashtra. CAP shortlist the candidates on the basis of cut off.

Candidates are required to bring the original documents and one photo copy of each to the counselling for verification process. Seat Allotment Process

The seat allotment process is the last and final step of admission process.

If seats are still vacant after third round of counselling, then only fourth round of counselling will be organized.

  • If a candidate has been allotted a seat then he/she has to download the ‘Provisional Seat Allotment Letter’.
  • Students have to draw a demand draft in favour of Competent Authority and deposit it at the admission reporting centre at the time of seat acceptance.
  • After verification of documents the centre in-charge will give the online receipt of acceptance to the candidate.
