MHT CET (DTE MAHARASHTRA) 2017 NEWS
STATE LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
Candidates have to face many problems last year during the medical admission. DTE Maharashtra decides to change the syllabus and pattern of the entrance examination which is still to be approved by the state government. If state government approved the changes then it will be applicable from the academic year 2018-19.
The DTE (Directorate of Technical Education) Maharashtra organizes the MHT CET entrance exams and counselling for admission to the various UG and PG courses in colleges/ universities of Maharashtra. On the basis of DTE exam, candidates can take admission to the various institutes.
Candidates can register online for the admission in the month of May-June, 2017. The Result will be announced in the month of June, 2017.

Candidates faced lot of problems this year because DMER Maharashtra made NEET test mandatory instead of state Common Entrance Test (CET).
Following is the detailed syllabus of previous year MHT CET test but NEET is the syllabus in which DTE trying to change its syllabus:
CET syllabus is based on the class XII syllabus of the state board of Maharashtra. The MHT CET 2017 entrance examination is comprised questions asked from the subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics.
NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) will be conducted in the month of May. In the entrance examination, questions will be asked from the syllabus of XI and XII class. Following is the detail of topics asked from the different subjects which are as follows:

As the DMER Maharastra made NEET mandatory, there is also change in the pattern of entrance examination. Therefore DTE Mahrashtra decides that MHT CET examination pattern will be aligned to the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
Candidates can check the previous year MHT CET paper pattern as compare to JEE the pattern in which DTE trying to change its exam pattern is as follow:
The MHT CET entrance exam pattern of previous year is comprised of three papers and candidates have to appear for all the three papers. First paper contains the questions from Physics and Chemistry subjects and Second paper paper contains questions from Mathematics subject.
The availability of paper is in English, Marathi and Urdu language. For every correct answer candidate will be rewarded by 1 mark and there will be no negative marking if the answer is wrong.

JEE paper will be conducted through both the Online and Offline modes. Offline paper will be Pen and Paper based examination whereas online mode will be the computer based examination.
JEE examination comprised of 30 objective types questions with equal weightage. The questions will be asked from the subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
For every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted and for every correct answer, candidates will be awarded 4 marks. Following table shows the No. of questions, and Marks per question:
