DU LLB 2018 Exam Pattern

DU LLB 2018 notification and exam pattern will be released on the official website- www.ducampus.in in May 2018. DU LLB 2018 will be a pen and paper based test i.e. mode of exam is offline.

  • The medium of questions in DU LLB 2018 will be English only.
  • The duration of exam will be 2 hours (120 minutes).
  • It will comprise multiple choice questions (MCQs) i.e. objective type questions.
  • The total number of questions asked in the entrance test will be 175.
  • The question paper will be divided into 2 sections- General Knowledge and Aptitude and Legal Awareness.
  • Every correct answer will be awarded +4 marks and negative marking scheme will be applicable. The maximum marks a candidate can score is 700.

DU LLB 2018 is a state level offline test that will be conducted in the third week of June 2018. It is a gateway for aspirants seeking admissions into LLB programs offered by the various affiliated institutes.

DU LLB 2018 Exam Pattern will give all candidates an idea about what should be expected in the exam. DU LLB 2018 Exam Pattern in Detail

DU LLB 2018 is a conventional pen and paper based test. The question paper will be available in the English language only. It will comprise175 objective questions to be solved within 120 minutes. The maximum marks a candidate can score in DU LLB 2018 are 700. Students must select the answer that seems the most accurate out of 4 alternative options given. They must note that negative marking will be applicable in this test.

The question paper will be segregated into 2 sections- General Knowledge and Aptitude and Legal Awareness. Aspirants can choose to attempt any section in the order they want. They will be required to mark their answers on an OMR sheet. There will be no sectional time limit i.e. no restriction of solving a particular section within a stipulated amount of time. 

DU LLB 2018 Exam Pattern for General Knowledge

This section is designed to evaluate the general awareness of the candidate. It will have questions to test aspirant’s proficiency in English language, awareness of ongoing, current events, quantitative aptitude, analytical and logical reasoning. Generally, about 80 questions are asked in this section.

DU LLB 2018 Exam Pattern for Aptitude and Legal Awareness

This section will assess the applicant’s knowledge in the legal field. Questions regarding political science and events, constitution, rights and duties, amendments, etc. will be asked. Around 90-95 questions will be asked in this segment.

DU LLB 2018 Marking Scheme

Applicants must know the marking scheme in order to decide how to attempt the questions in the law entrance test. There has been no change in the marking scheme of DU LLB 2018 entrance examination and it is the same as it was for the year 2017. It should be noted that negative marking will be applicable for the test. The marking scheme is given as follows:

  • +4 marks will be awarded to aspirants for marking every accurate answer.
  • There will be penalty of marks charged for marking wrong or incorrect answers i.e. negative marking will be applicable. For every inaccurate answer, 1 mark will be deducted from the total score of students.
  • Marks will not be deducted from the total score of the individual for leaving a question blank or failure in attempting it.
  • The marking of two options on the OMR sheet will be considered as a wrong answer and negative marking will be applicable accordingly.

DU LLB 2018 Exam Syllabus

The syllabus for DU LLB 2018 will be based on 10+2 or higher secondary school level knowledge. It will be as decided by Delhi University for every section. Students must make sure that they follow right syllabus to prepare well for the exam. The section wise syllabus is given as follows:

Part 1: General Knowledge

The aim of this section is to determine the general thought process of candidates. It will assess aspirant’s command over English language, their awareness in current events and mathematical aptitude (upto class 10) as also logical reasoning ability. The main topics along with the sub-topics for this section are given below:

Part 2: Aptitude and Legal Awareness

The second section of DU LLB will evaluate candidate’s knowledge in the legal field. Aspirants must focus on the topics given in this section as they have more weightage in the exam. The important topics are mentioned below:

DU LLB 2018 Important Instructions

It is the responsibility of every aspirant to ensure that they follow some rules and regulations formulated by the organizing body to maintain the decorum of DU LLB 2018 entrance exam hall so that the examination proceeds properly.

  • Candidates appearing in DU LLB 2018 will have to report to their allotted exam centre as early as 30 minutes before the commencement of exam.
  • According to the instruction by Delhi University, aspirants should not carry any irrelevant documents to their respective exam centre other than DU LLB 2018 Admit Card (e-admit card), an identity proof, a pencil, an eraser and blue/ black ball-point pen.
  • Items like calculator, logarithm table, slide rulers, Bluetooth devices, mobile phones, chits of paper etc. are prohibited and will not be allowed inside the exam centre.
  • Applicants will be required to fill their details in the OMR answer sheet of DU LLB 2018 in the first 15 minutes before commencement of the exam.
  • Candidates must ensure that they darken the bubbles properly in the OMR sheet.
  • Students will be able to attempt the questions in any order they want as there is no sectional time limit.
  • They will be advised to open the DU LLB 2018 question paper only when the invigilator instructs to do so.
  • It should be noted that any individual found indulging in unfair means in the examination hall will be debarred from appearing in the entrance exam and will be disqualified.

Candidates are allowed to approach the Centre Superintendent/ Invigilator in the room if they require any technical assistance, first aid emergency or any information regarding the test.
