NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
DU JAT (Delhi University Joint Admission Test) is conducted by Delhi University for admission to BMS/BBA (FIA)/BBE courses. Earlier it used to be known as Bachelor of Management Studies Common Entrance Test or DU BMS CET. It is the entrance exam for admission to all 13 colleges, at Delhi University, offering Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) course.
To be eligible for the DU JAT exam candidates must have passed 10+2 from any recognized board. General/OBC candidates must have at least 60% marks in the 12th board exams and 50% and 54% are required for the SC/ST and CW/PWD candidates respectively. Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam, group discussion and personal interview.

Candidates are expected to answer 120 questions in 120 minutes. Paper consists of 5 sections namely, quantitative ability, logical reasoning, English, data interpretation and data analysis section and general awareness. Quantitative ability consists of topics like inferential and visual reasoning, set of questions from DI covering topics of pie charts, graphs, time and work, quadrilaterals, numbers, average, profit and loss, mathematical series etc.
Logical reasoning consists of topics like verbal reasoning and verbal analogy, letter series, number series, syllogism etc. English consists of topics like comprehension at paragraph and sentence levels, identification of common errors, grammar and usage, vocabulary etc. DU JAT Registration will start in the beginning or second week of May and closes in the last week of May. Admit card is released in first week of June. Exam is held around third week of May and result is declared in July.
DU JAT Exam consists of 4 sections, so candidates should prepare accordingly and take care that each section is given proper time while preparing for the exam. Time must be managed to give a good shot to the exam. Candidates can go through following points for time management:-
This section contains questions from 11th and 12th Mathematics syllabus and some questions from 10th grade. Candidates should solve as many mock test as they can. R.D Sharma would be of much help to the candidates as some questions are directly picked from it.
This section tests the reasoning and analytical ability of the candidate. This section contains questions related to bar graph and chart etc. Any data interpretation book could be helpful for this section.
This section tests the vocabulary of the candidate. Read newspaper diligently and write difficult words in your copy while preparation. Candidates can solve previous years’ paper of CLAT and identify and learn important words from there. Candidates should learn the roots of the words that may be the best way to determine the meaning of hundred of words.
Candidates are suggested to read newspaper daily to score good marks in this section. Questions related to products and their companies are asked. Important international days are also asked. Candidates are also advised to remember national prize winners of current and previous years.
Revision plays the most important part in preparation of any exam. Candidates can go through following points for the revision:-
Qualifying DU JAT entrance examination is not a hard nut to crack, provided candidates are well equipped with syllabus and important topics. JAT is a pen paper test, candidates can choose whatever section they are good at. Candidates can go through important topics which are as follows.

|GENERAL AWARENESS:-||Candidates are advised to read newspaper religiously prior to at least 6 months before the examination.|
