BCECE 2018 Exam Pattern

BCECE 2018 will be conducted in two stages, i.e. Stage-I and Stage-II. BCECE 2018 Stage-I is scheduled to be held in the 3rd week of April 2018 while Results of Stage-I will be announced by the last week of April 2018. Candidates who will qualify BCECE 2018 Stage-I will be eligible to appear in Stage-II. BCECE 2018 Stage II will be conducted in the 3rd week of May 2018.

BCECEB (Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board) has not announced the BCECE 2018 Exam Pattern yet. As per the trend, BCECE 2018 is expected to be conducted in the pen & paper based mode of examination. The exam paper will be published in both, the English and the Hindi language.

BCECE 2018 Stage-I will be set for a duration of 135 minutes. It will contain questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology and will carry a total of 150 multiple choice questions of 600 marks. BCECE 2018 Stage-II will also consist of questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology and will carry a total of 300 multiple choice questions of 1200 marks. The duration of Stage-II paper will be of 270 minutes.

4 marks will be awarded for each right answer while one mark will be deducted from candidate’s score for each wrong answer. Candidates who will be appearing for BCECE 2018 can check BCECE 2018 Exam Pattern which might give them an idea about the paper structure.

BCECE 2018 Exam Pattern in Detail

BCECE 2018 question paper will be of Objective Type. The exam paper will be published in the English and the Hindi language. Duration of the Stage-I exam will be 135 minutes and Stage-II exam will be for 270 minutes.

To appear in BCECE 2018 admission process, it is mandatory for every candidate to qualify both the stages of BCECE 2018. Before appearing in any stage of BCECE, candidates must go through BCECE 2018 Exam Pattern.

Exam Pattern for BCECE 2018 Stage-I 

BCECE Stage-I paper will consist of 150 questions of Objective Type Questions with Four alternative options. The question paper will consist of four sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Chemistry and Physics will be the compulsory section while there will be optional between Biology and Mathematics section.

Candidates will have to solve the question paper in 135 minutes. Four marks will be awarded for each right answer while one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Exam Pattern for BCECE 2018 Stage-II 

BCECE Stage-II will consist of total 300 questions of Objective Type Questions with Four alternative options. The question paper will consist of four sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Chemistry and Physics will be the compulsory section while there will be optional between Biology and Mathematics section.

90 minutes will be allotted to each subject which means the total duration assigned to solve BCECE stage-II examination is 270 minutes. Four marks will be awarded for each right answer while 1 mark will be deducted from candidates’ score for each wrong answer.

BCECE 2018 Marking Scheme

BCECE Stage-I question paper will consist of a total of 600 marks. Each section of Stage-I will carry 200 marks each. Four marks will be awarded to the candidate for each right answer while 1 mark will be deducted from his score for each wrong answer.

Important Instructions

These are some important instructions for BCECE 2018 Examination that candidates should follow:

•    No candidate will be allowed to appear at the examination center other than that allotted to him/her in the Admit Card.

•    No candidate will be allowed to appear in the examination whose Hall Ticket is not issued by the BCECEB.

•    No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination center/hall after the commencement of examination.

•    Candidates are advised to bring a valid Photo Identity card (in original) along with their printout of BCECE 2018 Admit Card on the day of examination.

•    After the invigilator has verified BCECE 2018 Admit Card of the candidate, he must sign on the attendance sheet in the presence of the invigilator and mention the hall ticket number also.

•    Do not deface, distort, mutilate or damage the OMR Sheet. It should be kept in the excellent conditions.

•    Any kind of tampering in the OMR Sheet may lead to the direct disqualification. 

•    The candidate should follow the instructions given by the invigilators in the examination room

•    Candidates should not indulge in any argument with the invigilators or other staff involved in the examination duty at the examination centre. The candidates, who will not follow the instructions, will be treated as Unfair Means and his/her result will not be declared.

•    Examinee should not disturb other candidates in the examination room and maintain complete silence during the examination.

•    Candidates are not permitted to carry any electronic device and study material at examination hall like (Mobile, Bluetooth, Pager, watch, test series, books, model papers, etc.)

The decision of BCECE shall be final in all matters.
