TSICET 2018 Exam Pattern

TSICET Exam Pattern talks about the detailed paper pattern, syllabus, marking scheme, sectional weightage, types of questions and total time allotted to each section. It is decided by Kakatiya University, Warangal, on behalf of the Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) each year. Overall, the exam pattern of TSICET (Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test) has not seen any major changes over the years.

Here are the key points about TSICET Exam Pattern:

  • There are 3 major sections in TSICET Exam Pattern viz. Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability, and Communication Ability.
  • The total number of questions in TSICET is 200.
  • All questions are objective in nature. Check  TSICET Syllabus
  • The total marks for TSICET question paper are 200 marks, where each question carries one mark.
  • There is no negative marking in the exam.
  • The total time allocated to complete the exam is 2 hours 30 minutes.

As per TSICET 2017 Paper Analysis, there were no surprises in the paper. The overall difficulty level was moderate. The Analytical Ability section was considered as easy one, Communication ability section was easy to moderate, and Mathematical ability section was relatively tough and demanded time.

TSICET is scheduled for May 2018. It is a state level entrance exam conducted for admission of candidates in M.B.A. and M.C.A. programs available in all the Universities and their affiliated colleges in Telangana state for the academic year 2018-2019.

TSICET Marking Scheme

The below-mentioned marking scheme is used for checking answers in TSICET:

  • The total number of multiple choice questions in TSICET is 200.
  • Each question carries 1 mark.
  • Each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark.
  • Negative marking system is not applicable for TSICET 2018.
  • Unattempted questions will not be considered.

TSICET 2017 Paper Analysis

Instructions for TSICET 2018

The following are the important instructions to be taken into account by the applicants regarding TSICET 2018 exam pattern:

  • All the questions will be in English medium only and all the 200 questions will be of multiple choice questions (MCQ) type.
  • Every aspirant appearing for TSICET will be provided with the specially designed Optical Mark Reader (OMR) answer sheet on which the aspirants has to mark their registration number, the answers and other details like exam center code and question paper booklet number.
  • Aspirants must mark the correct answer in OMR answer sheet by darkening the appropriate circle which has the correct answer option among the 4 options given.
  • Candidates will be given with an OMR (Optical Mark Reader) sheet for marking their answers with a ball point pen.
  • Improper markings and darkening of answer option will not be considered.
  • The aspirants not reporting on time to the exam are likely to miss some of the general instructions given by the invigilator related to the exam. The candidates will be given an on-site orientation before the commencement of the entrance examination.
  • Candidates should read all the instructions given in the question paper booklet and OMR answer sheet carefully before starting the TSICET 2018 examination.
  • Candidates must use only ball point pen (Blue or Black colour pen) for darkening the circles for answering on the OMR (Optical Mark Reader) answer sheet.
  • OMR answer sheet must be handled with care by the candidates. They must not fold or cause any sort of damage to the OMR answer sheet since this will lead to the cancellation of the aspirant’s candidature to the TSICET 2018 entrance examination.
  • The total time duration allocated to complete TSICET 2018 written examination is only 2 hours and 30 minutes and so all the appearing candidates must complete the entrance examination within the time allocated. Any extra time will not be provided to the candidates to complete the written entrance exam at any circumstances.
  • Aspirants must note that they will not be given with a duplicate or second fresh OMR answer sheet under any circumstance. Hence TSICET 2018 aspirants are asked to be very careful while handling the OMR answer sheet.
