NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
NEST 2017 Syllabus consists of 5 sections - General Ability, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology. The Exam Pattern of NEST 2017 is strictly based on the syllabus in the Higher Secondary as per CBSE/NCERT or any other recognised board.

Physics Section of NEST is majorly divided among the following 7 topics. The Questions from the following chapters hold the maximum weightage of the section. While the questions that come range from moderate to difficult, candidates could find the questions hard as they involve a lot of basic concepts.

Mathematics is one of the most tough section. The Questions asked range from the following topics. Knowledge and application of basic concepts and formulae is necessary while solving the problems from the Mathematics Section.

There are total seven topics from which the questions will be asked in the Biology section of NEST paper. The Topics along with their sub topics are given below in the table.

NEST exam is based on objective type questions. The paper consists of 5 sections - General Ability, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology. 50 questions are asked from each section. For every correct answer, 1 mark is awarded and there is no case of negative marking. The General Ability is compulsory section whereas there is a free choice in the remaining four sections. Candidate can choose any three sections from the list. Marks obtained by candidates in 3 attempted sections along with the compulsory. General Ability section will be considered and calculated for the final result of NEST 2017.
