How to apply for DNB CET 2017

Candidates can apply for DNB CET through an online application process. The application form for DNB CET 2017 will be available on the official website from April 26, 2017. The online registration involves creation of a profile initially after which candidate has to create a login for the further process.

Candidates then have to mention their personal, academic and communication details. Candidates applying for DNB CET 2017 have to choose their exam date and time available. The candidates have to select a test center. The dates and centers will be available on first cum serve basis.

The candidates have to then submit the details and proceed for online payment. Enter the details asked correctly and a confirmation page appears on the screen. Candidates can edit the application form for DNB CET or submit the details if they are correct.

DNB CET 2017 is administered by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). DNB CET 2017 is conducted for admission to DNB Super Specialty courses. DNB CET exam is conducted twice a year, in the month of January and July.


How to apply for DNB CET

Candidates have to initially register on the official website of NBE to apply for DNB CET 2017. Click on the “Register for DNB-CET” button. Candidates have to then create a profile followed by filling the DNB CET Application form. Candidates have to then choose desired date of the exam and pay the application fee then.

Before beginning the DNB CET application process, candidates should gather all the information needed to complete the process, including credit/debit card details, educational history, and internship details.

Create a Profile

Follow the steps given below to create a profile and login:

  • Enter basic information such as name (as it appears on their MBBS Degree/Provisional Pass Certificate of MBBS), gender etc.
  • Also enter Father’s and Mother’s name, E-Mail address etc.

  • Create a login account, by mentioning username and setting a password which must be 7-20 characters long and contain atleast one alpha and one numerical character.

  • Select a reminder question and mention an answer to the same. Also confirm the answer to the reminder question.

    Note: Candidate must read the Data Privacy Policy and agree to the agreement to the policy.

  • Enter primary telephone number correctly to receive important updates via SMS.

  • Mention the postal address, country, city and pin code.
  • After filling all the details, click “Save & Continue” to move on to the next section.

Note: Once the profile has been created and saved, no changes will be allowed to the name or username. Username and password will be used to login into the profile.

Apply for DNB CET

The following steps are followed to apply for the DNB CET Exam:

  • Select Diplomate of National Board, Centralized Entrance Test (DNB-CET) from the drop down menu.

  • Click on Save & Continue button. The next screen “exam information screen” will provide important information related to exams.
  • Enter their Nationality, Category as per central list and Date of Birth. Then choose the domicile state.
  • Select any religious or linguistic minority they belong to. Also, specify the religion you belong to and the language you speak.
  • Enter the MCI/SMC Registration number along with the name of their Medical Council and the Type of Registration. Click on Save and Continue to move to the next section.

  • Enter the total aggregate marks obtained in their professional MBBS examination as the percentage of marks obtained. Also mention the name of the university/institute/college where MBBS was completed, state and month and year of passing MBBS.
  • Enter information on their Internship completion date. (Internship completion date must be on or before 31 July 2016), If any additional educational qualification has been obtained, Candidates have to specify them too along with the year of passing the additional qualification.
  • If Candidates  have appeared for any NBE exam before, please specify details

  • Choose “I Agree” to the declaration statement in order to proceed to the next section. This declaration confirms that candidates are eligible to take the DNB-CET and all the information that is entered by them is correct.

Note:If candidates have not completed any mandatory fields (marked with “*”), an error message will appear on the screen pointing to the field(s) left uncompleted. Candidates have to fill in all the mandatory fields in order to proceed.

Schedule the Exam

The DNB-CET 2017 may be taken during the window of 30 June – 3 July 2017(Tentative). There will be two sessions available for testing i.e. 10 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Each candidate can appear only in one session during this testing window.

  • Choose the preferred location where you would like to take the exam.
  • Select a location for the exam after which all available test sites in that particular location will show up.
  • Choose any available test site. In order to proceed with the selection of a site for the test, click on “Schedule Appointment” button under the site of their choice.

Note: Availability of the centers is on a first come, first, serve basis and candidates will be only shown options that are available at the point of scheduling the exam.

  • Choose DNB CET Exam date highlighted in blue as per your choice.

  • Choose the time of the exam i.e. either 10 a.m. session or the 3.45 p.m. session. If either of this two-session does not appear, it means that all available testing seats for that time have already been filled.
  • Click on “Save & Finish” button to move towards the payment screen.

Make Online Payment

Payment for DNB CET 2017 can only be made online. Payment must be completed within 30 minutes to the reservation of the test site and selection of date and time, failing to do so will result in the cancellation of the selected date and time and applicant will have to begin the process again. Therefore, it is advised to keep the payment information ready at the time of scheduling the exam.

  • Pay the exam fees of Rs 4500 for DNB CET, online using their credit/debit cards issued by banks in India or through net banking.
  • Select the payment option from the menu on the Make Payment Screen and fill in the required information.
  • Once all the information has been entered, click on Make Payment button.
  • Upon successful authorization of payment, the profile will be registered and the candidate will receive DNB CET 2017 Admit card within 24 hours on the registered email address.

Confirmation Page

After making the payment successfully, candidate is redirected to the welcome page. The information entered in the previous steps is displayed on the screen. Candidates can edit the incorrect information by clicking on ‘Edit Application’ button on the screen. Print the application form and you will receive the admit card in 24 hours.
