Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test, AP ICET 2017 is a common entrance exam to get admission in colleges in Andhra Pradesh. The exam is conducted for admission to MCA/MBA. The examination for upcoming academic session will be conducted by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, administered by Andhra University. APICET 2017 Important Dates

As per the official notification, candidates can now start registering themselves for AP ICET-2017 from March 1 onwards. It is important for the students to keep track of the date sheet to keep themselves updated. It is advised to complete the complete procedure before April 12. The schedule for the exam is summarized below:

APICET 2017 Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate should fulfil local/non-local status requirement as given in the Andhra Pradesh State Educational Institutions.
  • Candidate should be of Indian Nationality otherwise they should fulfil the criteria mentioned by the Andhra Pradesh State Educational Institutes.
  • Students applying for MCA should have 3 years’ bachelor’s degree with Mathematics as a compulsory subject
  • Students applying for MBA should have 3 years bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognized institution. One should have had Mathematics as a subject in standard 10.
  • Aggregate of 50% (45% for reserved category) is required for applying
  • Candidates in the final year of their respective course is also eligible
  • Qualifying degree obtained from Distance Mode Program should have recognition from Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC/DEB.

Steps To Fill AP ICET 2017 Application Form 

  • Applicants need to first log on to the official site of AP ICET,
  • Before one can proceed to fill the form, fee payment is necessary. Registration of an amount of Rs. 450 has to be made through online payment using Credit/Debit/Net Banking modes. Processing fee of Rs. 57.50 is applicable.
  • Registration can be done till April 26, 2017 with a late fee payment of Rs. 500/1500/2000 as mentioned in the ‘Important Dates’ section.
  • Candidates are requested to go through the Information Handout carefully before applying. One can further proceed to fill their application form.
  • Candidates are advised to keep their detailed information ready beforehand.

AP ICET 2017 Admit Card

The Admit card for the AP ICET 2017 examination will be available in the official website from April 28, onwards. Students must not forget to take their admit card during examination otherwise they will not be allowed to sit for the same. AP ICET 2017 Exam Pattern

AP ICET is designed to judge a student’s Aptitude, Mathematical and Verbal ability. This is an objective type paper containing multiple choice questions. The paper is of 200 marks and each question of 1 mark. No negative marking for incorrect answer. The marks distribution is given below:

Section A: Analytical Ability

  • Data Sufficiency -20
  • Problem Solving -55

Section B: Mathematical Ability

  • Arithmetical Ability -35
  • Algebraical and Geometrical Ability -30
  • Statistical Ability -10

Section C: Communication Ability

  • Vocabulary -10
  • Business and Computer Terminology -10
  • Functional Grammar -15
  • Reading Comprehension -15

MEDIUM OF THE PAPER- Section A and Section B will be conducted in English and Telegu while Section C will be conducted in English medium only.

AP ICET 2017 Merit List

  • Minimum qualifying marks of 25%, i.e. 50 marks out of 200 should be obtained in AP ICET-2017. For SC/ST candidates qualifying marks has not been prescribed. Candidate shall be assigned a rank on the basis of marks obtained in ICET exam and merit list.
  • In case more than one student obtains the same marks, the tie breaking criteria would be:
  • Considering marks in Section A
  • If the tie is still not broken, marks in Section B will be considered
  • If the tie persists, age factor will be taken into consideration and older candidate will be given preference.
  • The rank obtained will be valid for admission in colleges for MBA and MCA in Andhra Pradesh.
