STATE LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
APICET (Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test) was conducted on May 2, 2017. The difficulty level of the paper was moderate. The paper was held in offline mode. Candidates who appeared for APICET 2017 entrance exam are informed that official APICET Answer Key are available at official website.
The conducting body has set a minimum qualifying score for APICET 2017 which is 25% for General category i.e. 50 marks out of the 200 total marks. Candidates who belong to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes have no minimum qualifying percentage of marks to clear the exam. In order to secure top ranks, candidates must aim for 80% to 90% in the examination.
The preliminary answer key of APICET 2017 can be challenged by the candidates if they find any discrepancy in the prescribed answers. Based on the objections received, the exam authorities will revise and release the final answer key of APICET 2017 on May 10, 2017. The result of APICET 2017 will also be released on the same day after the final answer key, that is on May 10, 2017.

The candidates after understanding the marking scheme must start matching the answers and simultaneously, keep counting the number of correct and incorrect answers. To calculate the score, apply the below formula –

Here is the sectional analysis of the question paper which details about the difficulty level, topics involved, number of sections, and the number of questions from each respective topic. On the basis of this previous year’s exam analysis, the candidates will be able to understand the pattern of the test clearly. APICET 2017 Exam Analysis is available after the successfully conducted test on May 2, 2017.
This section was split into 3 sub sections i.e. Data Sufficiency, Data Analysis, and Reasoning. Difficulty level of this section can be considered to be moderate to tough. Candidates were asked a total number of 75 questions in this section.

|A large number of questions in this section were asked from Numbers. Other topics from which the questions were asked are Plane Geometry & Mensuration, Modulus, Partnership, Sets, Trigonometry, and Equations & Progressions. Candidates found this section to be difficult.||In this section, there were 2 Data Interpretation sets with 5 questions each in the form of a Pie Chart. No questions were asked from Venn diagram. The questions were easy but demanded intense calculation intensive and time.||There were 42 questions in this area. There were 20 questions based on series and analogies. The other topics in this section were Series, Coding-Decoding, Clocks & Calendar, Arrival & Departure, Blood Relations, and Symbols & Notations. While the Coding-Decoding questions were easy, other topics were of easy-moderate difficulty level.|
Candidates were asked 75 questions in this section which were difficult in nature. This particular section was also found to be time-consuming. A few questions were easily solvable with application of the formula however a lot more were purely based on the application of the concepts rather that direct substitution of the formulae. Three new type of questions were asked – one on Binomial Theorem and two on Sets which were not asked in ICET in the past.
This section contained 50 questions of overall difficulty level to be easy to moderate. Questions followed similar pattern to that of the last year. Questions were framed from vocabulary, functional grammar and reading comprehension.
|This section was easy and contained 6 independent questions. The words asked were easy except a few which had close meanings. The 4 fills in the blanks questions were also easy.||A total of 15 questions were asked in this section out of which 7 were on Statements/Conversation and eight were on filling the blanks with suitable verb/phrase/preposition. The candidates with knowledge of phrasal verb and usage of preposition would have found this section easy. Overall difficulty level of this section can be considered easy to moderate.|
