NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
AIPVT is a national level entrance test organized every year by Veterinary Council of India (VCI). It is conducted for students seeking admissions to B.V.Sc and Animal Husbandry courses. Please go through the following article to understand the AIPVT 2017 reservation criteria. The AIPVT 2017 application will be available from last week of February 2017. The application fee is INR-1500 for general category while it is INR-750 for SC/ST category.
A candidate can get admission to these courses only on the basis of their merit in AIPVT 2017. The All India merit list of the qualified candidates will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in AIPVT 2017, candidates will be admitted to seats under All India Quota as per reservation policy. Based on the merit list, candidates will be given to admission in veterinary colleges.
VCI follows the central government policy on seat reservation for AIVPT entrance examination. Check the following table which displays the percentage of seats reserved for different categories:
Physical disability – A candidate will not be allowed admission to B.V.Sc and Animal Husbandry courses if they suffer disabilities in physical fitness as listed below:
Note – The disability should be certified by a duly constituted and authorized medical board. The last valid disability certificate from a medical board should not be more than three months old from the date of submitting their certificate for disabled candidates.
AIPVT is conducted for 15% All India quota seats as well as state quota seats. The colleges from the state of Jammu & Kashmir are not included in All India Quota. The state decides to offer admission to the candidates on the basis of merit list of AIPVT 2017. The reservation policy is notified by the state from time to time. It would be applicable as per states or union territory norms.
Candidates seeking admission in participating states other than All India quota seats have to undergo the official admission procedure approved by an individual state university.

The candidates from the state of Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible to appear in AIPVT entrance exam. The state has not adopted the provisions of the Indian Veterinary Council Act. 1984 in the state of Jammu & Kashmir.
