GPAT 2017 releases Exam Dates, Registrations begin from October 10

In a recent notification released by AICTE, the GPAT Exam is set to open its GPAT Registration window from October 10, 2016 for the 2017 session. The last date of filling the GPAT Application Form is December 10, 2016.  All the interested candidates are informed to visit the official website of GPAT AICTE to get themselves registered for the GPAT Exam 2017. In the article below, the candidates will find the details about the GPAT Application Form filling process and GPAT eligibility criteria.

GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test) is a national level entrance exam conducted by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) every year as per the directions of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The exam is conducted for all the qualified Pharmacy graduates for admission into the Master’s (M.Pharm)/ Ph.D. programmes offered by various GPAT Score accepting institutes.

The GPAT Exam is a three-hour computer based online test which is conducted in a single session. The GPAT score is accepted by all AICTE-Approved Institutions/University Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges. We inform the candidates that few scholarships and other financial assistance in the field of Pharmacy is also given on the basis of their GPAT score.

AICTE GPAT 2017 Important Exam Dates

As the exam dates for GPAT has been announced recently by AICTE, the conducting body of GPAT. It is important for all the aspiring graduates to know about all the important events and the dates for the same. Hence, we have provided them with the GPAT Exam Schedule, one can go through the same and keep themselves updated regarding the same:

The candidates who are interested in sitting for the exam, should make sure to log in to the AICTE Official Website so as to get themselves registered for the GPAT Exam.

AICTE GPAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Before thinking of filling the GPAT Application Form, it is important for all the aspiring candidates to go through the GPAT Eligibility Criteria. This will help them to figure out, if they should go ahead to the next level i.e. GPAT Application Form for getting registered for the exam.  Mentioned below are the main points that one should go through before applying:

  • It is important for the candidates to be a citizen of India.
  • They must have a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry candidates)
  • Those who are in the final year of B. Pharmacy course are also eligible for appearing in GPAT exam.

If the candidate gets all the green flags on the above-mentioned pointers, then they should go ahead with filling the Application Form.

GPAT Application Form

For all those candidates who wish to sit for the GPAT Exam, they will first have to register themselves for the exam. They should make sure to fill in the GPAT Application Form as soon as the window becomes functional on October 10. The last date to fill in the GPAT Application Form 2017 is on December 10, 2016.

The candidates are informed that the whole Application Form filling process will be done through Online mode only. They are suggested to keep all the scanned documents with them at the time they will be filling the Application Form of GPAT.

1) Registration

The candidate first need to log in to the official website of AICTE for GPAT. Then, they need to go through the important instructions before getting themselves self-registered. While getting registered, the candidates are supposed to fill few basic details like their Name, father’s name, DOB etc.

Note: Make sure to enter all the details correctly, as once the details are submitted there will be no option to edit them later.

 As soon as all the details are filled, a unique 6-digit password will be generated. This password will be sent to the candidates via email or SMS that they would have mentioned in the GPAT Application Form.

2) Fee Payment

There are two modes in which the fee can be submitted for the GPAT Exam. Mentioned below are both of the modes:

ONLINE PAYMENT: You can select ONLINE PAYMENT mode and then do the payment using Credit card / Debit card / Net Banking

Once your payment is successfully done, you will receive a confirmation E-mail and SMS. Once you have received the successful payment confirmation, you can proceed with the remaining part of registration process

CASH Payment in SBI bank: You can select this option to pay by CASH at any of the designated SBI bank branch. Once you select this option and proceed, you will see a CHALLAN on your screen with your details already filled in it. You need to take 3 PRINT OUTS of this CHALLAN, fill in the details wherever required in all the copies, and walk in to your nearest SBI bank branch with CASH on the next day of generation of Challan. Cash Deposit will be accepted only from the next day of your Challan generation

Note: The last date to pay CASH in bank is 09th December 2016 and from there onwards to complete registration is 10th December 2016. Submission of final application after payment will not be possible after 10th December, 2016.

3) Submit

Now, as the payment for the GPAT 2017 Application form has been made, the candidates can go ahead and fill in the rest of the form. After, all the information has been filled, a view/ modify page will appear. Here, they are required to go through all the details filled again and make changes as per requirement (if any). This is the final step and once the candidate is sure about all the information, they will have to accept the declaration and click on ‘I Agree’. Then after clicking on I Agree, the Application Form for GPAT will be submitted.

Admit Card for AICTE GPAT 2017

After the candidates fill the form to sit for the exam, then they will be issued the GPAT Admit Card. Admit Card is one of the most important document which is required to be kept safe till the end of the whole GPAT Admission Process. It is the key to enter the GPAT Exam Center and is required till the GPAT Counselling for admission to the GPAT Score accepting colleges.

The GPAT Admit Card will be issued within a week or two after the Registration Process of GPAT ends. Hence, the candidates should keep a regular check on the GPAT AICTE website after December 10, 2016. AICTE GPAT 2017 Result

As per the official notification by AICTE, the exam is scheduled to be conducted on January 28 and January 29, 2017. After the exam is held, then the result for the same will be announced in the month of February, 2017. AICTE is yet to announce the official date for the declaration of GPAT Result.
