JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form

JEE Advanced 2018 registration will begin in fourth week of April 2018 through online mode by visiting the official website- www.jeeadv.ac.in. The application forms will be accepted till first week of May 2018 with the payment of application fee. JEE Advanced is the second stage of Joint Entrance Exam. The steps to fill JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form comprise of the following steps:

  • Online registration
  • Application form filling
  • Uploading documents
  • Payment of application fee

The exam is primarily conducted for students prior to their admission in any of the IITs across the country. On the basis of JEE Advanced 2018 results, aspiring candidates are admitted to courses in the field of engineering, architecture, pharmaceutics or sciences.


How to Apply for JEE Advanced 2018?

The application form will be available on the official website to be filled in fourth week of April 2018. The steps involved in JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form are as follows:

  1. Visit the official website and click on ‘Registration’ link
  2. Enter your JEE Main roll number and password
  3. Fill JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form
  4. Upload the required documents
  5. Payment of Application Fee

How to fill JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form?

The steps involved in JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form filling have been elaborated below. JEE Advanced 2018 is conducted for candidates who will successfully qualify in JEE Main 2018. Registration for JEE Advanced 2018 is set to begin in fourth week of April 2018. The registration process will be completed through online mode only.

JEE Advanced 2018 Registration

  • Visit the official website of JEE Advanced 2018.
  • Enter JEE Main 2018 roll number and password.
  • Select a new password.
  • You will be redirected to a new page containing personal and academic details.

Filling Application Form

  • Provide basic data such as language of question paper (English or Hindi), cities for the examination, etc.
  • Enter your roll number, password and security pin of JEE Main 2018.
  • Choose a new password for JEE Advanced 2018.

Upload Documents

Once the application form is filled correctly, upload required documents with the specifications, as mentioned in the instructions. Documents required for JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form are:

  • Class 10th certificate (if Date of birth is mentioned) or Birth certificate
  • Class 12th certificate for those candidates who appeared in 2015
  • Colored photograph with the head centered in the frame, covering 70% - 80% of the photograph
  • Scanned copy of candidate's full signature and left-hand thumb impression
  • Scanned copy of Caste certificate (only for OBC-NCL, SC and ST candidates)
  • If candidates come under PwD and DS category, they are also required to upload the certificates
  • If the name is not same as in the Class 10th certificate, gazetted notification showing the change of name is required

Payment of Online Application Fee

Pay the application fee and take the print out of dully filled application at the end for further use. Note that JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form cannot be withdrawn after completion of registration. The registration fee cannot be refunded or transferred. Registration of JEE Advance will be cancelled in case candidate does not meet specified eligibility criteria. 

Documents/Information Required for Registration for JEE Advanced 2018

Given below is a list of certificates and other documents that are to be uploaded at the time of online registration for JEE Advanced 2018:

For all candidates

  • Recent colour photograph of full frontal (face) view, with the head centred in the frame and taken within the last six months. The photograph should be such that it allows clear and unambiguous identification of the candidate.
  • Class X certificate if Date of Birth is mentioned in it or birth certificate.
  • Class XII (or equivalent examination) certificate.
  • Scanned copy of candidate’s full signature.
  • Scanned copy of left-hand thumb impression.
  • In case the name is not same as in the Class X certificate, gazette notification is required showing the change of name.

Additional Documents (if applicable)

  • OBC NCL category certificate
  • Caste Certificate for SC/ST category
  • Certificate for PwD category

JEE Advanced 2018 Application Fee

Candidates can pay registration fee through online (debit card & net banking) or offline (SBI Challan) mode. The fee is neither refundable nor transferable.

Payment by SBI Debit Card/Internet Banking

At the time of payment of Application Fee, option of “Pay Registration Fee” will be displayed. Click on it and system will automatically redirect to State Bank Multi Option Payment System (MOPS) page.

As per the candidate’s convenience, they may select any of the available options such as SBI Debit Card or Internet Banking. After successful payment, candidate will be able to print the completed Registration Details page with UNIQUE Registration Number.

Payment by Cash using SBI Branch Option

In case of Cash payment, select “SBI Branch” and system will automatically generate bank challan. Take a printout of it and pay the application fee in cash at any SBI branch.

After successful payment, candidate will be able to print complete registration details page with Unique Registration Number.

Payment for Exam Centres Outside India

Candidates seeking Exam centres outside India are required to pay the registration fee as mentioned above through International Debit or Credit Card issued by Foreign Banks and issued outside India. Payment in US $ (dollar) is not allowed through Debit or Credit Cards issued in India. After successful payment, candidate will be able to print the completed Registration Details page with Unique Registration Number.


JEE Advanced 2018 Password Guidelines

Guidelines to be followed while creating password for JEE Advanced 2018 are as follows:

  • Candidates have to create a password with length at least 8 to 13 Characters long.
  • The password has to be a combination of one upper case alphabet, one lower case alphabet, one numeric value and one special character like !@#$%^&*-.

Retrieving Application Number and Password

In case candidates forget their application number and password, there is an option of retrieval by performing the steps given below. Steps to reset password and retrieve application number are:

  1. Applicants can use the security question and its answer chosen during filling JEE Advanced 2018 registration form.
  2. The verification code sent via text message to registered mobile number of candidate
  3. A reset link sent via Email to the registered Email address of candidate

Important Guidelines for International Applicants

Important information for foreign candidates who wish to apply for JEE Advanced 2018 are:

  • Candidates who are not citizens of India (by birth or naturalized), do not belong to OCI category, and whose parents are not citizens of India and do not come under OCI category at the time of registering for JEE (Advanced) 2018 are treated as foreign nationals.
  • Supernumerary seats are allotted to foreign nationals with a cap of 10% of total number of seats in every course.
  • Foreign nationals are not eligible for reservation of seats under the OBC‐NCL, SC, ST and PwD categories as mandated by Govt. of India. 
  • These candidates are not required to write JEE(MAIN) and may register for JEE(Adv) 2018 directly subject to fulfilment of other eligibility criteria.
  •  Identity Proof: Identity proof of both the parents is required in the form of citizenship certificate/Passport   

JEE Advanced 2018 Form Correction

Candidate needs to apply for JEE Advanced 2018 with utmost care as it can lead to rejection of their candidature if wrong details are entered. They must make note of the following points before and while filling the application form:

  • Candidates will not be allowed to make correction in the application after it’s submission.
  • Fill the application form correctly.
  • Last year, no correction period was declared about JEE advanced form correction.
  • Check eligibility criteria before filling the application form.
  • Registration will be cancelled if eligibility criteria is not adhered to.
  • Candidates also need to check that the scanned documents are uploaded correctly or not.
