STATE LEVEL ONLINE TEST
TANCET MBA is a state level entrance examination conducted by Anna University, Chennai for admission to MBA programs. TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) entrance test for MBA was concluded on March 25, 2017 in different time slots. The exam was held in offline mode at 15 major cities of Tamil Nadu.
Candidates will be allotted admission on the basis of their ranks in TANCET MBA 2017. Anna University will announce the TANCET Result in April, 2017. Post declaration of result, candidates will be called for counselling process. It is expected to commence within 15 days after result declaration.

Candidates should check their eligibility status before filling the application form. TANCET MBA Eligibility is as follows:
TANCET MBA 2017 Application Form was available on the official website from January 29, 2017 to February 28, 2017. Eligible candidates can fill the online application form from its official website in the defined time frame. The form should be carefully submitted as corrections cannot be made once the form is finally submitted.
The form could be filled through online mode only. To fill the TANCET MBA Application Form, candidates can follow the steps provided below:

Note: There is no need to send a copy of the application form via post to Anna University.
TANCET application fee is non-refundable and it has to be paid in online mode only at the time of registration. Application fee varies according to the category of the candidate. The following table depicts TANCET application fee:

TANCET MBA hall ticket will be available for download at annauniv.edu/tancet2017 from March 14, 2017 onwards. Also, it can be obtained in person from the respective coordinating centers. Admit card will not be sent via post. It is mandatory to carry an Identity Card along with the admit card on the exam day. It should be kept safe after the exam for admission process.
Information Contained in Admit Card 2017:
In case, a candidate misplaces the admit card after the exam, then they can obtain a duplicate one against the payment of INR 100/-. The fee should be paid through Demand Draft with a request indicating the application number and name of examination centre to the Secretary, Anna University, Chennai -600025. The Demand Draft can be drawn from any nationalised bank.
TANCET MBA is an offline mode exam which consists of 100 MCQs. The duration of the entrance test is hours. Candidates have to use either blue or black ball point pen to mark their answers on OMR sheet. Negative marking persists in TANCET MBA. For every wrong marked answer, 1/3 marks would be deducted as a penalty and 1 mark would be awarded to each correct answer.

Anna University has decided to conduct the TANCET MBA entrance exam in 15 major cities. The allotted exam center will be mentioned on the TANCET MBA Hall Ticket. The entrance test will be conducted in the following 15 cities:
TANCET MBA Result is expected to be out in April, 2017 on the official website at annauniv.edu/tancet2017. Merit Lists will be prepared separately for different categories.
TANCET MBA Mark Sheet will be issued to the candidates after the declaration of result. The mark sheet and result will be available in online mode only. It will not be sent individually to the candidates via post or email.
To check the TANCET MBA Result 2017, candidates have to login using their student login credentials. The result will display scores obtained by them in TANCET MBA 2017. Based on the scores obtained, they will be given admission to MBA courses.
Steps to check TANCET MBA Result 2017
Candidates can follow the below given steps to check their result and download the mark sheet –
Candidates can get a duplicate copy of TANCET MBA mark sheet, if they lose their original mark sheet. They can obtain the duplicate mark sheet by sending a written application to Anna University along with a Demand Draft of INR 100/-. The Demand Draft can be obtained from any Nationalized Bank drawn in favor of “The Secretary, TANCET, Anna University, Chennai”, payable at Chennai.
Note: Candidates should mention the Registration No., Application No. and the name of the Exam Centre on this letter.
A cutoff list will not be prepared by the TANCET MBA 2017 conducting body. A cutoff will be decided by each of the participating institutes. TANCET MBA cutoff is the minimum score declared by the institute for the admission process. On the basis of cutoff marks, TANCET MBA Counselling and Seat Allotment are done.
TANCET MBA 2017 Cutoff is calculated by considering various factors such as difficulty level of the exam, availability of seats, average marks scored in the test and total number of candidates taking the test. The Cutoff for general category is expected to be around 34.

TANCET MBA Counselling is expected to commence from April-May 2017. Candidates will be called for the counselling process on the basis of their ranks secured in the exam. The process will be held in offline mode, where candidates have to visit the counselling centres carrying the relevant documents. After the counselling, shortlisted candidates will be allotted seats in one of the participating institutes in the state of Tamil Nadu.
TANCET MBA Counselling 2017 schedule will be declared by Anna University according to the ranks of the qualified candidates. After each round of counselling, applicants can check the seat vacancy status of participating colleges. Depending on the number of vacant seats, the university will decide the number of counselling rounds.
