NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
IBSAT (ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test) 2017 is a national level entrance exam conducted by ICFAI. The admission is provided to MBA/PGDM programs offered by institutes affiliated to ICFAI Business School. In total, there are the nine campuses of ICFAI Business School in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Dehradun, Jaipur, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Kolkata and Pune.
IBSAT is held in Computer Based Test (CBT) format. The duration of the exam is two hours. There is a total of 150 questions in the exam each question will carry one mark there in so no negative marking in IBSAT Exam. There will be the 4 section under IBSAT 2017 Exam Pattern viz Verbal ability, Reading comprehension, Quantitative ability and Data Sufficiency and data interpretation.

Verbal Ability under IBSAT Exam Pattern is aimed at testing candidates’ acquaintance with English and its usage. The questions under the section test candidates’ reading, writing and comprehension skills. The curriculum in ICFAI Business School and later prospects involve frequent application of English and hence the same is tested in the exam.
The section comprises 50 questions for a total of 50 marks. The section holds the highest weight in IBSAT Exam. There are 4 sub-sections under verbal ability and all the questions derive from the topics mentioned below.
There are total 30 questions in Reading Comprehension section to attempt. The section comprises three unseen passages with eight question dedicated to each passage. The difficulty level of the section is moderate with only few surprise questions.
This section aims at testing comprehension skills, reading and understanding ability of the candidate. Candidates have to prepare well for this section.
The quantitative ability section of IBSAT 2017 comprise 30 question in total. The level of this section is considered higher compared to other sections. The Quantitative Aptitude section tests the basis mathematics’ understanding of candidates. The section aims at the fundamentals of mathematics. All the questions asked in the section are derived from the following topics.
There is a total of 30 questions in Data Sufficiency and Data Interpretation section. The level of this section ranges in between easy to moderate. The section is divided in various topics viz. Data Sufficiency, Logical reasoning and Data Interpretation. 15 questions comes from data sufficiency, 5 question comes from logical reasoning and 5 question from Data Interpretation.
All the questions in this section includes graphs, tables, charts and other infographics form. Candidates are required to solve questions on the basis of the graphics. Candidates are suggested to prepare well for this section.
IBSAT 2017 exam is held in computer base test (CBT) format. The medium of exam will be in Hindi.. IBSAT 2017 exam level varies with the section, level of 50% questions will be difficult, 25% questions will be moderate and the level of rest 25% questions will be easy.
The total deration of IBSAT 2017 exam is 2 hours (120 Minutes). All the question in MCQ (Multiple Choice questions) form, the total number of question is 140. Each question will carry one mark, there is no negative marking.
