IBSAT 2017: Check Syllabus and Exam Pattern

ICFAI Business School conducts an online aptitude test called IBSAT. The IBSAT is conducted every year in month of December for candidates seeking admission in IBS for MBA/PGPM courses. The IBSAT registration closes on December 09, 2016 and IBSAT result will be declared on January 06, 2017. There is 12-day exam window for online IBSAT exam.

Candidates qualifying in IBSAT will be allowed to attend the selection process at ICFAI Business School. ICFAI university and all the campuses of ICFAI Business School accept the IBSAT score.

Syllabus for IBSAT 2017

Candidate must study properly and effectively for the preparation and the qualification of the test. Candidates are advised to prepare as per the latest syllabus for IBSAT exam to obtain the best results. Candidates can take online IBSAT mock test to know the status of their preparation.

The question paper for ISBAT exam shall be based on objective type questions varying between 120 and 140 every year. Usually the number of questions asked is 125. The questions are generally distributed in four sections which are –Quantitative Techniques, Data Interpretation & Data Adequacy, Reading Vocabulary & Comprehension and General Awareness.

Detailed structure of ISBAT syllabus

IBSAT Exam has no official syllabus for its aspiring candidates. However, on the basis of the general analysis and trends followed for the previous question papers, it is concluded that there are four sections in the question paper. It is advised that the candidates should always go through the IBSAT Previous Year Question Papers for a clear understanding of the IBSAT Syllabus. The four sections mentioned above will contain questions from various topics which are detailed below:

ISBAT Exam Pattern

It is important for all the interested eligible candidates to be fully aware with the IBSAT Exam Pattern. This will help them to prepare for the same systematically. In Exam Pattern for IBSAT the question paper will generally comprise of 125 questions divided under 4 sections. The number of questions to be asked from each section is detailed below:

The most important advantage of the IBSAT exam is that there is no case of negative marking, which gives the candidate an opportunity to take blind guesses for the questions which he/she was not able to solve.

The difficulty level of the examination is of moderate level. Candidates qualifying the examination will be shortlisted for the further selection process. The subsequent modes of selection include- Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). The final selection list will be based on the candidate’s overall performance in any national test score or IBSAT and GD & PI score.
