For getting admission into XLRI Jamshedpur candidates have to clear the XAT entrance examination. XAT is commonly known as “Xavier’s Admission Test”.

Selection of the candidates is based upon their performance in XAT entrance examination. Candidates who qualify the XAT examination will be called for Personal interviews and Group discussions. XLRI is responsible for declaring the XAT cut off 2017.

XLRI is responsible for announcing the shortlisted candidates who have clear the XAT entrance examination successfully. Final selection of the candidates is based on their XAT 2017 percentiles. Candidates will be called for Group Discussions and Personal interviews according to their rank in the merit list.
Following is the two XAT rounds that candidate’s need to clear for their final selection:
First round of the XAT Selection Procedure is Group Discussion. In this a group of 15-20 candidates is formed and they are given a topic on which they have to discuss for about 15-20 minutes. Candidates who talk sensible and sufficient content may get shortlisted.

PI is conducted to judge the candidate’s capability and know them deeply. Actual motive of conducting a personal interview is to know about the candidate’s skills, confidence, achievement and adaptability during the interview.

XAT 2017 cut off will be released for Business Management (BM), Human Resource (HR) and General Management Programme courses. XLRI admission test is scheduled to be conducted on January 1, 2017 and its result will be declared in the last week of January.
