Xavier Institute of Management (XIM), Bhubaneswar PGDM Admission & XAT Cut-off

XIM Bhubaneswar offers admission to various courses of management (MBA & PGDM) every year on the basis of the score obtained by the candidate in XAT. XAT is to be conducted on January 3, 2016 by Xavier University at Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai.

Applicants have to fill the separate online application form for XIMB programme through After  successful filling  of the online application form and payment of the application fee, the candidate  will be informed about the acceptance of the application form through their registered  email ID  followed by the admission bulletin 2016 sent  by post or courier. Candidate can apply online till December 7, 2015.

XLRI Bhubaneswar 2017: Eligibility Criteria

The candidates applying for any of the PG course in XIMB should fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

  • Candidate should have hold of a minimum 3-year duration Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised university.
  • Candidate should have passed the graduation degree with at least 55 percent marks in aggregate.
  • Candidates whose result is awaited are also eligible to apply. However, such candidate has to complete their final exam and other obtain the degree by June 15, 2016.

XLRI Bhubaneswar 2017: Selection Process

Candidates are selected for various MBA courses in XIMB on the basis of their score in the CAT/XAT/GMAT/X-GMAT examination. The selection process further comprises of 3 stages conducted by the XIMB for the shortlisted candidates. The three stages of selection are illustrated below:

  1. Written Ability Test: The candidate shall be given one or more topics on which he/ she is required to write a brief essay in time duration 15 minutes to 45 minutes.
  2. Group Discussion: The second stage is a called GD in which 8-10 candidates are given a topic to discuss. This round is to access the dynamics of the candidate.
  3. Personal Interview: This is the final round of selection in which candidate has to present himbefore a panel of 4-8 interviewees. This round is to test the candidate on their academic background, work experience, hobbies, interests etc.

The final admission of the candidate is based on the combined performance of the candidate in all the stages of selection.

XIM Bhubaneswar XAT Cut-off

The cut-off list for XAT 2017 will be furnished separately by the participating Institutes by the XAT participating institutes. The Cut Off is the minimum possible score, which can be considered for selecting the candidates for subsequent selection modes for admission to PG programs at XIMB

The cut-off for the XIMB is quite high generally going above 90 percentile. The cut-off does not   vary much yearly. The below given table gives the XAT 2016   cut-off for various sections is given below in the tabular form:
