JEE MAIN PREPARATION TIPS

In the interview that we had with him, Ankit shares his thoughts and success mantra for JEE Main aspirants.

Q 1. What did you choose - Offline or Online mode for taking up the exam?

I opted for offline mode of answering. You have the benefit that you can solve the problem just below the question.

Q 2. Did you qualify for JEE - Advanced?

Yes, I did.

Q 3. Did you take Coaching Classes? If yes, how did they help in your story?

Yes, I joined. Actually, my school has a tie up with a coaching class so I didn’t have to worry about any other coaching class. We were provided a great study material  and the faculties were very good in teaching and clearing doubts.

Q 4. How did you manage JEE Main Preparation along with your Class 12th exam?

People say it is very hard to manage but the fact is it's the same thing just the level of difficulty is upgraded. So, for JEE you have to be conceptually clear.

Q 5. What were your Strong and Weak areas? How did you prepare and what special efforts did you put for improving them?

I was good enough in almost every subject but my Mathematics was the strongest among three and found Chemistry a little bit uneasy. But I forced myself to prepare hard for the exam. I followed some reference books and studied Chemistry in my favorite time.

Q 6. What mock papers did you take?

My school has tied up with Shree Chaitanya and they have one of the finest mock papers. I didn’t have to worry about taking other test series.

Q 7. Write some of the Preparation tips for someone who is starting 4 months before the exam?

Just go through the JEE Main Syllabus and start making strategy which subject to prepare first. Use reference books to clear the basis. Be stress free and just keep your mind focused to the studies.

Q 8. Physics: Mention the Strategy and Books Followed for this section.

I am good in Physics. HC Verma is the best book that a JEE aspirant should follow. I joined some mock test series and that played a vital role in my preparation life.

Q 9. Chemistry: Mention the Strategy and Books Followed for this section.

I found this subject little but uneasy and I tried myself hard to score best. I followed: O.P. Tondan for inorganic chemistry, Morrison Boyd for organic chemistry and for physical P. Bahadur to get rid of the numerical stuffs.

Q 10. Mathematics: Mention the Strategy and Books Followed for this section.

It was my strongest subject among the three. I only followed Arihant Pubications for practicing questions. I didn’t require to put extra effort in this subject.

Q 11. What are the things you would like to go back in time and change to get into a better college?

No, there is nothing like to go back and change.
