Sachet Duseja appeared for JEE Main in the year 2013. He scored 247 marks in JEE- Main. He took admission in Delhi Technological University. He shared his views and preparation tips with us in the interview.
Ans. I chose online mode for taking examination. It was quite time saving because we could directly jump to a particular question if we wanted to check, no need for turning over pages. The only con, Practice online tests not available sufficiently.

Ans. Yes, I joined coaching classes and they proved to be a great help for me in the preparation, a teacher always provide an easy way to grab concepts and also the regular tests taken helped to reduce the test phobia.
Ans. The syllabus for both the exams is pretty much same, except some extra topics to be covered for mains exam. Completion of the syllabus of Class 12th just acted as a revision for both the exams and the extra topics were covered during the days from end of class 12th exams till the mains exam day.
Ans. Depending on each subject and topics, there were strong and weak areas. It is just the regular efforts by practicing variety of questions from each of them made scoring in exams a bit easier.
Ans. I usually practiced by giving 3 hours sitting for the previous year papers and tried to solve them. Additionally I had books from different publishers that provided more questions to test myself.
Ans. Physics need application of concepts to solve problems. So it requires practice. Books followed were NCERT physics books for 11th and 12th class, books from Arihant, 40 days or 10 years.
Ans. Chemistry is more of concepts so it requires clarity of concepts and thus requires thorough reading and memorizing every details mentioned in these books. Books followed: NCERT class 11th and 12th chemistry books and Arihant 40 days or 10 years.
Ans. For Mathematics, mostly practice of variety of questions to score in the subject so it requires remembering the formulas and thus requires solving questions even of same type so that we get used to them. Books followed: NCERTclass 11th and 12th mathematics books and Arihant 40 days or 10 years.
Ans. Well, I think i am in the best of colleges with the top branch that i wanted to opt and I don't want to get into any other colleges. I am quite satisfied with where i am now.
Ans. Firstly, plan out the time and you need to study three subjects complete. Make time sufficient enough according to how strong you are in the subject and stick to what you have decided. Also you will have to take time for your board exams. Preplanning and sticking to the plan is best method.
