Ashish appeared for JEE Main in 2012 and scored 163 marks. He took admission into College of Technology, Pantnagar. He preferred NCERT text books above all the other reference books. Ques. What did you choose- Offline or Online mode for taking up the exam?
Ans. I had chosen online mode for examination because I feel online mode is much better than offline mode. There are options to change the response in online mode which is not possible in offline mode.

Ans. Yes, I had taken coaching from Aakash IIT-JEE Educational services, Noida. The Institute has very experienced faculty. They guided me and provided me direction on how to prepare, what should be the strategy, tricks etc. that helped me a lot.
Ans. During my school time in recess time or physical education period I used to study. During weekends I used to complete half of the work of the upcoming days.
Ques. What were your Strong and Weak areas? How did you prepare and what special efforts did you put for improving them?
Ans. My strong area was Mathematics and Weak area was Chemistry. After coaching classes I used to cross-check what the teacher had taught me. As most of the syllabus was covered by the coaching classes itself so the only thing on which I focused was solving problems.
Ans. I had given mock tests conducted by Aakash IITJEE Institute. These tests were conducted at all Aakash Institute in India. The test series helped me a lot to find out my strong and weak areas.JEE MAIN 2016 Mock Papers or Previous Year Papers
1. H C Verma's Concepts Of Physics (Volume I & II)
2. Physics – Resnich Halliday (Volume I & II).
These books helped me to learn physics in an intricate manner making it an ideal book for JEE preparing students.
Ans. For Chemistry I had studied standard NCERT books of Class 11th and 12th.
The reference book used by me was Physical Chemistry by O.P Tondon.
O. P. Tandon, is a text book for Chemistry students who intend on applying for JEE and other important entrance exams for engineering aspirants.
Ans. Apart from standard NCERT books of Class 11th and 12th. I used these books as reference.
1. Algebra – Hall and Knight
2. Calculus – Thomas and Finney.
Both of the books are extremely well-written.
Ans. I would like to start my preparation from 11th class so that I would have enough time to focus on my weak areas and improve them.
Ans. Four months are not less for preparation if you have someone who can guide you well. Crash course organized by various institutes such as FIIT JEE, Aakash will be helpful in providing direction.
