STATE LEVEL ONLINE TEST
Now, it is time for the Second WBJEE Medical Counselling, along with the allotment of seats to candidates. It is scheduled to begin from September 8, 2016. The online publication of results for the second round of counselling will be declared on September 9, 2016. The WBJEE Medical Counselling Round 3 will begin from September 21, 2016 and the results will be declared on September 22, 2016.
The WBJEE counselling process is entirely online. For the candidates who are domicile to the state of West Bengal and are willing to participate in online counselling, needs to submit their counselling fee through E-challan to any branch of United Bank of India during banking hours of 29th and 30th August 2016. WBJEE medical results were announced on August 25, 2016. The first round of WBJEE Medical counselling and allotment of seats began from August 31, 2016. The WBJEE Counselling Round 1 results were published on September 1, 2016.

Aspirants who are interested in getting admission to medical colleges and dental colleges can apply within the prescribed dates to get themself enrolled for the counselling process. The candidates are required to fill choices in accordance to their wish and lock the same within the dates allotted.

The WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) is a state level entrance test for admissions to several Undergraduate courses offered by the colleges within in West Bengal state. The conducting body of the examination is WBJEEB (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board). This is a common exam which provides a ticket to various medical, engineering, architectural, technological and pharmaceutical courses. The WBJEE score is accepted by both government and private colleges across the state.

WBJEE Medical counselling is generally conducted in three slots. After the completion of third round, if the seats are still vacant, then the seats are allotted to eligible candidates.

In order to attend the online counselling, candidates will require to pay a certain amount as WBJEE counselling fee.

The WBJEE Board offers an advantage to candidates belonging to various reserved categories over the candidates belonging to the general category. Candidates who belongs to various reserved category can claim WBJEE Medical Reservation only if they are domiciled in West Bengal. The candidates are required to upload their respective caste certificate during the WBJEE Application Process. The documents uploaded shall be checked during the WBJEE Counselling.

WBJEE reservation categories are mentioned in below stated pointers:
Any certificate uploaded must be issued a date prior to the WBJEE 2016 Application Form submission. The certificate issued on a later date will not be accepted.
Please Note: The candidates who have a domicile of West Bengal can claim for WBJEE Reservation.
SC/ST, OBC-A/OBC-B, PWD, Minority quota, Defence quota candidates who want to seek admission in medical and dental colleges through reservation quota are required to follow specific guidelines. The aspirants can follow the below mentioned guidelines to claim WBJEE reservation:
1. SC/ST Candidate
SC/ST candidate needs to submit certain certificates approved by various officers/authorities of Kolkata. The issuance and submission of the certificates will help them to acquire seat through WBJEE reservation:
2. OBC-A/OBC-B Candidates
The certificate issuing authority for the OBC category applicants is the Sub Divisional Officer of a Sub-division in a district.
OBC candidates can claim their reserved seats by submitting the required certificates, issued by the concerned authorities. Candidate is required to upload the certificates online, prior to the submission date.
3. Pwd (Person with Disabilities)
The considerations for claiming the WBJEE Reservation through PwD category for MBBS/BDS courses are mentioned below:
WBJEE Reservation for PWD candidates, can be claimed by the candidates having at least 50-70% Loco-motor disability of lower limb only. In case of earmarked quota stays unfilled due to non-availability of candidates with loco-motor disability between 50% - 70%, such vacancy will be filled by candidates having loco-motor disability of lower limbs between 40% to less than 50%.
Please Note: The candidates with disabilities other than loco-motor disability are not eligible for claiming WBJEE Reservation.

The PwD certificate should be issued by Officer-in-Charge or Medical Head of Primary HealthCenters, Block Primary Health Centers, State General Hospitals, Rural Hospitals, Sub-Divisional Hospitals or the District Hospitals run by the State Government or any hospital run by a statutory body or authority.

An applicant can also apply for admission under management quota. Management quota is applicable for Self Financing Colleges of the State offering B.E. /B.Tech. / B. Pharm / B. Arch. Courses as well as courses running on self- financing basis under the University Institute of Technology, Burdwan University. Though, university may decide to not take admission under this quota. Under management quota, at most 10% of sanctioned seats may be admitted directly by the institution management. Academic qualification, citizenship, age restrictions etc. are stipulated as eligibility criteria under the Management Quota for admission to degree level Engineering/Technology, Pharmacy, Architecture courses.
