The WBJEE medical process of choosing and locking the seats by the eligible candidates happened on September 28, 2016 to September 30, 2016. Then the WBJEE medical Process of seat allotment Round 1 commenced on August 31, 2016 and the results for the same was published on September 1, 2016. For the same round, the WBJEE document verification took place at the WBJEE designated Centers on September 2, 2016 and September 3, 2016. The candidates selected from Round 1, were supposed to report to their respective colleges on September 5, 2016 to September 7, 2016

The Round 2 of Counselling and Seat Allotment for WBJEE was held on September 8, 2016 and the results for the same was released on September 9, 2016. The WBJEE Document Verification for the same took place on September 10, 2016. And the selected candidates are now supposed to report to their respective colleges from September 13, 2016 till September 15, 2016.
Those of you, who are yet to get admitted to the colleges, we inform you that the Round 3 seat matrix will be published on September 17, 2016. Hence, you all should make sure to keep a close check on the official website of WBJEE. This is because the Round 3 will have a lot of upcoming events that would be important for you all. The choosing and locking of the seats for WBJEE medical will take place on September 19, 2016 to September 20, 2016. And the WBJEE counselling for Round 3 will take place on September 21, 2016. The candidates should also know that the Document Verification will commence later in the month of September only.
The candidates should be well prepared so as to avoid any hassles. Also, they should make sure to keep a close check on the website so as to keep themselves well prepared for any last minute changes that might happen during the whole procedure of WBJEE.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination, WBJEE Medical Result was declared on August 25, 2016. The WBJEE Medical Answer Key was released in the second week of August. The candidates can now breathe some fresh air. Chandrachur Mondal, resident of Salt Lake, topped the list.
The WBJEE was held on July 20,2016 and since then, students were eagerly waiting for the results. There were 151 WBJEE Exam Centres across the state that focussed on three main subjects- Biological Sciences, Physics and Chemistry.
A total of 75,862 applied for the exam. Out of these, 54,889 aapeared and 12,183 students made it to the WBJEE Merit List. There were 7,672 male and 4,511 female students in this list, comprising of 62.97% and 37.03% respectively. Out of the top 10 students, there were 9 boys and 1 girl. Three students from Kolkata secured the first, third and sixth rank. Four were from the suburbs, and one each were from West Midnapore, Murshidabad and South Dinajpur. We congratulate all of you!

Keeping in account all the categories, out of 12,183 candidates who made it to the merit list, 5,972 were of the general category, 1,929 were SC candidates,107 were ST, 2,609 were OBC A and 1,566 were OBC B candidates.
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination, WBJEE is a state level entrance test for admissions to several Undergraduate courses offered by the colleges within in West Bengal state. The conducting body of the examination is WBJEEB (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board). This is a common exam which provides a ticket to various medical, engineering, architectural, technological and pharmaceutical courses. The WBJEE Score is accepted by both government and private colleges across the state.

The WBJEE Board does not give any provision for re-checking or re-evaluating the declared results. The WBJEE Board takes different measures to ensure the correctness of the MCQs and their appropriate answers.

The West Bengal Board takes numerous steps that ensure the security related to the answer sheets. Hence, no procedure for any review of WBJEE 2016 Result before and after the declaration of the result is provided by the authorities. The Board makes sure to take all the likely steps and best possible supervision and regulation to ensure the error-free declaration of the WBJEE 2016 results.
Candidates must note that the result for WBJEE Medical 2016 will only be stated for those students who will score the minimum qualifying marks as eligible for their respective categories in WBJEE Medical 2016.
The minimum qualifying marks for the General category is 50% and that for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories is a minimum of 40% marks to qualify in the WBJEE Medical 2016.
A Merit List will be released as per the WBJEE Medical Cut off. This merit list will hold the names of only those candidates who successfully qualify for the exam by scoring at least the minimum qualifying marks that have been stated above.

Students must not forget that the WBJEE Medical counselling will be done solely according to the merit list of WBJEE 2016. The rank attained by the candidate will decide his or her admission to one of the 22 Participating Colleges (Medical and Dental) of West Bengal. The WBJEE offers approximately 2450 seats in such colleges.
The counselling process for WBJEE 2016 will be a centralized computer based choice filling and seat allotment process. After completing the rounds of seat allotment, the students are needed to report for document verification and submission of tuition fee for provisional admission. The counselling will begin from August 28,2016 at 10 am, and will continue till 4 pm on September 30,2016.
One can follow the below mentioned steps for the online counselling:
The first step of the online counselling procedure for WBJEE 2016 is the registration. The applicant is required to visit the official website of WBJEE 2016 counselling and click on “New Candidate Registration”.
The applicant will then be required to fill in details such as WBJEE Roll Number, Application Form Number, Name of the candidate, Date of Birth and a Security Pin.
After the registration is completed successfully, an ID and password will be generated for the students’ perusal.
The candidate must note these login credentials for future use. Candidates are hereby informed that they will be required to pay an amount of Rs. 510 to complete the registration process of WBJEE 2016 counselling.
This is the second step of the counselling process. The students need to log into their account by using their ID and Password which was generated in the preceding step. The candidates can then select their choice of WBJEE participating colleges and courses.
Please make sure to be careful to lock their final choices before the deadline.

After the students have filled in their choices, they will be allocated seats as per their ranks and preference. WBJEE seat allotment procedure is also online. The students will be able to check the seats allotted to them by logging in their accounts.
The aspirants who have been allotted a seat will then be required to physically report at the Reporting Centre (RC). This is the next step in the counselling procedure and is compulsory.
Candidates are reminded to carry all the mandatory documents to the reporting centre. The candidate will be required to pay an initial admission fee. The fee amount for TFW (Tuition Fee Waiver scheme) candidates is Rs. 4000 and for others it is Rs. 5000.
The final step for the students is to personally visit the institute that has been allocated to them for completing admission formalities. If the student is unable to report at the stated institute, the provisional admission of such candidate will be cancelled.
