Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) schemes are applicable to those students who have performed very well in academics & in WBJEE.TFW means relaxation in tuition fee. These schemes are applicable only for UG courses in Engineering/Architecture/Pharmacy courses. The amount of scholarship is lie in between INR 1400 to 1500 per month.
Concept of this scheme has been given by state Governments for admission into UG courses in colleges identified by AICTE, specially designed for brilliant students of economically weak areas of West Bengal.
Availability of seats under TFW along with other conditions
Seats available on Supernumerary basis:-5% seats are reserved under supernumerary seats (These seats are generated on the basis of requirement, over & above the sanctioned intake)
Seats generated under this scheme will be decided by concerned college or universities.
Students who satisfies the below mentioned conditions will be eligible to take the advantages of TFW scheme.
Student must be the domicile of West Bengal only. Students have to submit the certificate for this.
Total family income should not be higher than INR 2, 50000 annually. Submission of Income certificate is mandatory.
Who will decide the authentication of Income certificate under TFW in WBJEE 2016
Determination of annual income should be confirmed by
Officer of state Government who is working as Block Development Officer (BDO) or sub divisional officer / Additional District Magistrate or District Magistrate/ Group ‘A’ Gazetted officer in state or central government
Executive officer of municipality/ Assistant Commissioner in municipal commissionerate/ Group ‘A’ Gazetted officer in state or central government can issue income certificate to the eligible student after documents check.
WBFS has been started in West Bengal for half and full tuition fee relaxation. This scheme would be applicable to those students who have certain financial issues, so that they will become eligible to get admission in Government & self- financed colleges. Students will be selected at the time of WBJEE Counselling.
Availability of seats under WBFS scheme in WBJEE 2016
10% of available seats are reserved for half & full free-ship both.
10% of available seats under management quota are reserved for Full free-ship in case of self-financing colleges.
Students who are sure about taking admission in WBJEE associated instituteswill be eligible to receive advantages of WBFS scheme.
Note: West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board will not be responsible for any problems occurred in implementation of WBFS.
Details of West Bengal Government Merit- cum- Means Scholarship scheme in WBJEE 2016
This scheme is applicable to UG programme, for those students who have completed their education from West Bengal board. This scheme is also famous by the name of “Swami Vivekananda West Bengal Government Merit- cum- Means Scholarship scheme”.
