KMAT Application Form - Registration Begins from April 2018

KMAT Application Form will be available in April 2018. Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA), conducting body of the state level exam will release the form at kmatindia.com. Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria can then fill in the form to take Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT).

Listed below are important highlights related to KMAT Application Form:

  • KMAT Application Form can be filled via online or offline mode
  • For registration, candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 50% marks. Check KMAT Eligibility
  • Application Fee for KMAT is INR 1000. It can be made via online mode or through Demand Draft (DD)
  • Before applying for Karnataka exam, one must go through the instructions to avoid making any mistakes
  • In order to have the login credentials, candidates have to provide the basic information like course name, candidate’s name, gender, DOB, domicile, Email ID and Mobile No.
  • KPPGCA will issue KMAT Admit Card to successfully registered candidates. Download  KMAT Admit Card

KMAT 2018 is an All India Management exam to provide admissions to professional courses such as MBA, PGDM, and MCA. Through this exam candidates will have an option to take admissions to more than 169 + well-known AICTE approved University-affiliated B-schools in Bangalore and Karnataka. For the academic session 2018- 19, the exam will be scheduled in May 2018.

KMAT Eligibility Criteria

Candidates appearing for Karnataka MAT must clear the defined eligibility to be able to appear for exam. KPPGCA has laid out KMAT Eligibility for the management exam. The eligibility for candidates to appear in the exam is listed below:

KMAT Eligibility for MCA Program:

  • Minimum Qualification: A candidate must possess a graduate degree i.e. he/ she must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University
  • Minimum Marks: It is necessary to have a minimum of 50% marks. And for SC/ ST category candidates, they should have a minimum of 45% marks
  • Mandatory subject in the qualifying exam: Candidates selecting this program should have Mathematics subject in their Bachelor’s.

KMAT Eligibility for MBA/ PGDM Program:

  • Minimum Qualification: A candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree of 3 years or more
  • Permissible Streams: Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering/ Technology or equivalent.

How to Fill KMAT Application Form?

As mentioned earlier, candidates can apply for the exam either through online or offline mode. Though both methods are equally given importance, KMAT authorities encourage candidates to submit online application as it is smooth, efficient and faster method than the offline mode.

KMAT Registration via Online Mode:

  • Visit KMAT Official Website i.e.kmatindia.com. 
  • Scroll down and the following tab will appear, as highlighted below:

  • Click on ‘Apply Now for KMAT 2018’ tab.
  • A new page will appear, it will provide instructions relating to KMAT Application Form. One must go through all the instructions thoroughly so as to avoid committing mistakes while filling Application Form of KMAT.
  • After reading the instructions, now click on ‘Register’ tab and fill all the required details.
  • After filling all details, click on ‘Submit’ tab. Candidates will then be issued a ‘Reference Number’. It will be sent to the mobile number and email ID as mentioned at the time of applying.
  • Next, re-login using the reference number and DOB in order to fill the form. The following screenshot represents the same.

After providing these credentials, candidates will be redirected to a new window. Here, they are required to fill in final KMAT Application Form. 

KMAT Registration via Offline Mode:

  • Visit the official website and choose the offline mode registration option
  • Download KMAT Application Form
  • The fee for application form of KMAT can be paid via Demand Draft (DD) of INR 800 in favour of ‘KMAT 2018’.

General Instructions for KMAT (Karnataka)

KPPGCA has defined guidelines and instructions to fill the application form for KMAT. It is advised to follow the same in order to successfully register themselves for the exam. Listed below are the instrictions as per the conducting authority:

  • Name : Candidate’s name as mentioned on the School Leaving Certificate.
  • Nativity : Select an appropriate option to confirm the nativity. Candidates who do not belong to Karnataka state by either Birth or Domicile, click on the option - Non Karnataka candidate.
  • Choice of Test Centre : Select preferred test centre city from the list of cities provided. One must take note, that once the city is selected changes will not be allowed.
  • Gender : One needs to tick the appropriate gender.
  • Applying for : Select the test for which one is appearing. Wrong option will result in incorrect processing of KMAT score.
  • Date of Birth : Enter the Date of Birth in DD/MM/YYYY format in the space provided.
  • Stream : Select the stream in which the graduation degree is obtained
  • Address : Write complete postal mailing address including the first name in CAPITAL LETTERS. Failure to write complete address might result in non-receipt of postal communication, if any.
  • Photo and Signature: Candidates have to make a scan copy of Passport Size Photograph (Max. 500 Kb) and Signature (500 kb) before they start the registration for KMAT.
  • Candidates who are applying for either MBA or MCA have to make an online payment of INR 1000
  • Candidates who want to take up both MBA and the MCA test will have to register for each test separately. Two separate Hall Tickets will be issued.
  • It is advised to make a photocopy of the application form as a proof of acknowledgement.
