NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST

AILET 2018 Results

AILET 2018 Result for BA LLB course will be declared in the last week of May 2018. AILET 2018 Result for LLM and Ph.D. programs will be declared in July 2018.

  • Candidates who will have to visit the official website of AILET to check their result and rank.
  • Candidates will have to keep their roll number handy while checking the results. They will have to login with their name and roll number to get their results.
  • AILET 2018 Result will be released in PDF format
  • The results will feature the AIR (All India Rank) of all candidates and will also specify their marks for each subject
  • AILET 2018 results will be announced separately for each of the offered program– BA LLB, LLM and Ph.D.
  • AILET 2018 results will have separate lists as per the candidate’s category (General, OBC, SC, ST, PwD and Kashmiri Migrants)

NLU will issue call letters to Round 1 of AILET counselling and admission after the result and merit list is declared. Candidates can download the result and merit lists from the official NLU website www.nludelhi.ac.in.

Candidates must note that these are tentative dates only and might change at the discretion of the exam conducting body, National Law University. Candidates must keep a check on AILET official website for the final dates.


How to Check AILET 2018 Results?

Candidates are advised to check their results by visiting the official website of AILET 2018. The PDF versions will be available for download according to the following categories:

  • General (GN)
  • Scheduled Caste (SC)
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST)
  • Persons with Disability (PwD)
  • Kashmiri Migrants (KM)

Candidates will have to follow the steps given below to obtain their result:

Step 4Enter the name, roll number and other details as required
Step 5Check and Download the results as required

Candidates must keep a tab of his/her result and also take a printout of the same for all future AILET 2018 process.

The following details will be present on the score card:

  • Name
  • Roll Number
  • Name of the exam
  • Exam Date
  • Name of the course
  • All India Rank
  • Marks in every section

AILET 2018 Merit List

AILET 2018 Merit List will be prepared based on the following criteria:

  • Number of candidates who have registered for AILET 2018
  • Number of candidates who have appeared for AILET 2018
  • Number of candidates who have qualified AILET 2018
  • Average marks obtained by all candidates
  • Mean and Median marks received by candidates
  • Difficulty level of the question paper
  • revious year’s cut-off and number of qualifying students

AILET 2018 Cut Off

NLU declares a cut off for AILET 2018 post result and merit list declaration. The cut off forms the basis of short listing candidates for admission into law programs. Candidates who qualify the cut off will receive the call letter for counselling.AILET 2018 post result and merit list declaration. For admission in BA LLB programs, AILET 2017 Cut off was:

  • 98 out of 150 for General category
  • 65 for Scheduled Caste
  • 60 for Scheduled Tribe
  • 58 for Person with Disability
  • 82 for Kashmiri Migrants

For admissions to LLM programs, AILET 2017 Cut off was:

  • 85 out of 150 for General category
  • 70 for Scheduled Caste
  • 52 for Scheduled Tribe
  • 65 for Person with Disability

Tie Breaker

In case of a situation where two or more candidates score the same marks, NLU Delhi has set a few standards.

  • If two or more candidates get the same percentage of marks in AILET, then their merit will be determined on the basis of percentage of marks of 12th or equivalent examination.
  • If their merit is still the same, then the marks of 10th standard will be considered.
  • If the tie still continues, then the candidate higher in age will get preference.

AILET 2018 Counselling

AILET 2018 Counselling procedure is different for each of the program. Candidates can follow the table below for a clearer idea about the counselling process.

  • Candidates will have to check the results from the official AILET website.
  • If their name is on the list, then they will receive a provisional admission letter by NLU Delhi.
  • Post receiving the letter, they must pay the requisite fee to participate in the counselling procedure.
  • Once the fee is paid to the admission authority, candidates will be issued a final confirmation letter from National Law University.
  • Candidates can then participate in the first round of counselling.
  • After first round concludes, spot counselling will be carried out for vacant seats. AILET Spot Counselling will be the last round of counselling. It is valid for candidates on the waiting list.

AILET 2018 Counselling Process for LLM

Admission to LLM Programme will be based on the following minimum eligibility criteria along with the merit in AILET:

  • 60 Marks & above for candidates belonging to General and PWD Category
  • 45 Marks & above for candidates belonging to SC and ST Category

Candidates can follow the procedure below for the detailed steps of the LLM counselling process:

  • Candidates will have to check the results from the official AILET website.
  • If their name is on the list, then they will receive a provisional admission letter by NLU Delhi.
  • Post receiving the letter, they must pay the requisite fee to participate in the counselling procedure.
  • Once the fee is paid to the admission authority, candidates will be issued a final confirmation letter from National Law University.
  • Candidates can then participate in the counselling.

AILET 2018 Counselling Process for PhD

Candidates need the following clearances to be eligible for PhD admissions:

  • Clearance of AILET will be exempted in case of UGC NET/ JRF/ SELT and M.Phil
  • Clearance of Research Proposal by Scrutiny Committee
  • Clearance by the Doctoral Committee based on the presentation of Research Proposal

Candidates must first check their result by visiting NLU, Delhi’s official website: www.nludelhi.ac.in. If selected, the candidate will receive an interview letter from NLU. Candidates will then have to attend an interview where he/ she will have to present their research proposal.

The documents required during AILET 2018 counselling are:

1. Documents required for AILET 2018 Counselling Process (BA LLB)

  • riginal AILET Counselling Letter with the 2 photocopies
  • Original AILET Admit Card with 2 photocopies.
  • Original 10th Class Certificate and mark sheets with 2 photocopies
  • Original 12th Class Certificate and mark sheets with 2 photocopies
  • 2 copies of AILET Score Card
  • Original Caste Certificate signed by authorized authority and 2 copies.
  • 6 Passport size photographs
  • Bank Demand Draft as per the prescribed instructions

2. Documents required for AILET 2018 Counselling Process (LLM)

  • Original counselling/ interview call letter along with the photocopy of counselling/ interview call letter
  • Original admit card along with the photocopy of admit card.
  • All the originals proving your educational qualification and at least two photocopies of 10th and 12th class mark sheets, B.A.LL.B mark - sheet
  • Original copy of the Admit Card
  • Copy of AILET Examination Score Card
  • Community certificate (SC/ ST/ OBC other) signed by the authorized authority
  • Sufficient Passport size photographs

3. Documents required for AILET 2018 Counselling Process (PhD)

  • Original counselling/ interview call letter along with the photocopy of counselling/ interview call letter
  • Original AILET Admit Card along with the photocopy of admit card.
  • All the originals proving your educational qualification and at least two photocopies of 10th and 12th class mark sheets, B.A.LL.B mark sheet, LLM Mark sheet
  • Original copy of the Admit Card
  • Copy of Examination Score Card
  • Community certificate (SC/ ST/ OBC other) signed by the authorized authority.
  • Sufficient Passport size photographs
  • A valid Research Proposal
