NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST

AILET 2017 Application Form released on January 3, 2017

The All India Law Entrance Test(AILET) is conducted on National Level for providing admission to integrated BA.LLB(Hons.), LLM and PhD course of National Law University Delhi and its affiliated colleges. Registration for AILET 2017 has started from January 3, 2017, and will continue till April 7, 2017. AILET 2017 exam is scheduled on May 7, 2017.

AILET 2017 Exam Pattern is different for all courses. AILET entrance test is an offline pen paper type of examination for the duration of 90 minutes. It is designed to test the legal knowledge, sense of basic application of law, Reasoning Abilities and Basic Mathematical Abilities of the aspirants.

Candidates can apply for AILET by paying Application fee of Rs. 3000/- (General Candidates) and Rs. 1000(SC/ST/PwD). Candidates from Below Poverty Line in Case of SC/ST are exempted from paying fee.


AILET 2017 Eligibility

A Candidate seeking admission in various courses of NLU, Delhi and its affiliated colleges is advised to check AILET 2017 Eligibility Conditions before applying. It is essential for the candidates to check the conditions set by the National Law University, Delhi before applying for AILET 2017 Admission Process to be eligible for the examination. In case, Candidate fails to meet the Criteria, his/her application is liable to be rejected.

Here are the Course wise eligibility conditions to know the academic qualification and marks for applying and appearing for AILET 2017 Examination and Admission Process:

AILET 2017 Eligibility for LL.B. Course

  • Candidate should have passed Class XII with the minimum aggregate marks of 50%.
  • Criteria of Age for Admission has been withdrawn by the NLU, Delhi.
  • Candidates who are appearing in Class XII examination in March/April are also eligible to apply.

AILET 2017 Eligibility for LL.M. Course

  • Candidate with LLB degree or any other equivalent degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks can apply.
  • Candidate appearing in last year of LLB can also apply for AILET for admissions in LL.M. Courses

AILET 2017 Eligibility for Ph.D. Course

  • LL.M. Degree with 55% marks or its equivalent

Reservations

  • For LL.M. courses, Candidates belonging to  SC/ST/PwD should have 50% marks in LLB degree or any other equivalent degree.
  • For Ph.D. Courses, Candidates must have 50% in LL.M. degree in case of SC/ST/Persons with Disability candidates

AILET 2017 Application Form

AILET 2017 Application Form are available from January 3, 2017. The applicants can access the AILET Application Form on the official website of NLU. The last date of submission of AILET Application Form is April 7, 2017. The application process for AILET 2017 can be completed in four simple steps. The candidates who wish to apply for AILET 2017 should follow the procedure given below to fill the application form for AILET 2017:

1) Registration

All the applicants have to first register themselves on the AILET official website. Registration steps are given below:

  • Visit AILET 2017 Official website.
  • Click on the ‘Apply Online’ link.
  • Fill in all the basic information such as Contact number, email ID, Name, Parents’ name, Address and Date of Birth.
  • After filling in all the mandatory fields in AILET Registration form, click on Registration button.
  • Candidates will be redirected to Application Locker page where they have to confirm the details provided by them are correct.

2) AILET Application Form

After the Registration, Candidates have to fill the AILET 2017 Application Form by following the steps given below:

  • Applicants have to choose the college from the list of NLUs and click on ‘Click here to Apply’ button.
  • On the next page, Candidates have to select the course from the drop down menu.
  • Click on ‘Apply Now’ button.
  • Candidates will be redirected to the Online Application form of AILET 2017,  Candidates have to fill the form correctly.

3) Uploading Images

Applicants have to upload a scanned photograph. The format, size and other essential requirements for the uploading of the photograph are mentioned below:

  • The size of the scanned photograph must not exceed 150 KB.
  • The face of the applicant must cover at least 75% of the photograph.
  • Scanned copy of photograph should be in bmp, jpg or gif format.
  • After uploading the images, Click on “save” and proceed to make payment.

4) AILET Application Fee Payment

The category wise details of AILET 2017 Application Fee are detailed below

  • All the applicants can pay the AILET Application fee either by offline or online.
  • For offline payment, the applicant has to remit the fee for AILET 2017 at the post office.
  • For online payment, the applicant can submit the fee via net banking/debit card/credit card.

After the applicant has made the payment, he/she will receive a confirmation mail from NLU, Delhi. The applicants are advised to download the acknowledgement from the mail or from the Application Locker under the Application Submitted area.
