OJEE 2017 MCA Exam

OJEE MCA is a state level entrance examination scheduled in offline mode on May 14, 2017. It is conducted for the admission to first or second year of MCA program. Its objective is to check the candidate’s Mathematical ability and Computer awareness.

OJEE will be conducted in Shift III (Slot 2). OJEE Registration has begun on the official website of Odisha JEE Board and will close on March 25, 2017. The application fee for MCA programme (Form C) is INR 1000 which can be paid either online or offline. 

Reservation will be provided to specific categories of candidates such as SC/ST, PWD, Women category, Green Card Holders, Tuition waivers, NRIs, outside state candidate and Odiya speaking candidates living outside India.


OJEE MCA Exam Dates 2017

Candidates have to apply for OJEE through an online application process. OJEE Application Process has started from February 03, 2017. OJEE 2017 is scheduled on May 14, 2017 in different slots as per the course applied for. OJEE Result will be announced on the official website on June 08, 2017.

OJEE 2017 MCA: Eligibility

Candidates have to satisfy the OJEE Eligibility to apply for the desired course. Candidates applying for MCA programme must undergo the following eligibility criteria for OJEE 2017:

OJEE Eligibility for MCA

  • The candidate must possess Bachelors degree of minimum three years with Mathematics as a compulsory subject at Graduation or 10+2 level from any university of Odisha or other UGC recognized university.
  • Students who possess a degree in BCA/ B.Sc. (IT/ CS/ IST/ ITM) with Mathematics as compulsory subject are also eligible to give entrance test.
  • The candidates belong to SC/ST category will get 5% relaxation in marks.
  • There is no age limit for admission to MCA program.

OJEE Eligibility for LE MCA

  • Candidates should clear Mathematics at 10+2 level or graduation level by securing minimum 50% marks or above.
  • Student must clear Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years of duration in BCA or B.Sc. (Information Technology / Computer Science/ IST/ ITM)
  • There is no age limit for admission to MCA Lateral entry program.

OJEE Eligibility for Integrated MCA

  • Candidates should pass 10+2 examination or equivalent with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects along with one subject from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, and Technical Vocational subject.
  • Students must have obtained 45% marks and 40% marks in case of candidates belong to SC/ST category.
  • There is no age limit for the candidate to take admission in MCA Dual-Degree.

OJEE MCA 2017: Application Form

The application process is an online process which starts from February 03, 2017. The OJEE Application Process basically comprises four steps: Registration and Form Filling, Upload Images, and Fee Payment & Submission.

Candidates are advised to must have valid email ID and mobile number before start the OJEE Application process for the official communication. Following steps helps in completing OJEE Application process:

Registration  

Candidates have to visit the official website of OJEE and click on the link named as “Online Registration system” and opens “Odisha Joint Entrance Examination 2017”. Whereas candidates have to select the correct from type available from A-F.

Candidates have to click on the submit button after filling their personal and academic details and note their registration number after form submission

Uploading Images

Candidates need to log in using registration number and password generated at the time of form submission. Candidates are advised to upload the images in the space given in JPEG format. Candidates have to upload the passport size image, image of candidate signature and candidates left-hand thumb impression.

Candidate signature and thumb expression must be clearly taken on the white sheet along with the candidate’s name mentioned on the photograph.

Payment of Fees

Application fee varies as per the course chosen. Application fees can be paid using either Online or Offline modes which are explained as below:

Online mode

Candidates can easily pay the fees online by logging on the official website. Candidate has to choose the online mode and then chose any one of the payment gateways i.e. credit card (Visa/ Master/ Maestro cards)/ debit card/ net banking.

Enter the necessary details and proceed with the payment by clicking on Pay now. An e-receipt is generated on successful payment.

Offline mode

After completing registration, the candidates have to select the bank for depositing fees through auto-generated e-challan. It will generate three copies of auto-generated e-challan named as the Bank copy, the OJEE copy, and the student copy.

Candidates have to submit the printout of the e-challan at the nearest branch of State Bank of India.

Submission and Page Confirmation

Candidate must log in using Registration ID and Password which is generated after the fees submission. Then the confirmation page appears on the candidate’s screen. Candidates are advised to take the printout of that confirmation page for future reference

OJEE MCA 2017: Admit Card

Candidates can download the OJEE Admit Card from the official website of in the month of April. It is mandatory for candidates to bring the OJEE Admit card at the time of exam.

In case, the candidates are unable to download the OJEE admit card then he/she must contact the office immediately. Candidates have to submit one copy of OJEE 2017 Admit card to the invigilator and other must be kept by the candidate.

Submitted OJEE Admit Card will be examined at later stage to check the candidate’s validity. OJEE Admit card contains the information such as candidates name, roll number etc.

Following are the steps involved to download the OJEE admit card:

  • Open the official website of OJEE and click on the link “Download OJEE Admit Card 2017”
  • Enter the application number, date of birth and click on submit button.
  • The OJEE hall ticket will be displayed on the screen and print minimum two copies of the OJEE Admit card for future use.

OJEE MCA: Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The OJEE 2017 is conducted in offline mode i.e. pen-paper based exam containing multiple choice questions. For each right answer, 4 marks will be awarded. But for every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted. Total time duration of the MCA is 2 hours and 120 questions are asked from Mathematical and Computer section.

OJEE MCA 2017: Result

OJEE Result is declared on the official website on June 08, 2017. The OJEE Result will be declared on the official website. The candidate can download and access their result by following below steps:

  • Visit the OJEE official website and click on the link named as “OJEE Result 2017”.
  • Enter roll no, date of birth etc and submit the details.
  • Download and take the printout of Rank Card.

OJEE MCA: Counselling

Candidates who qualify the OJEE 2017 are invited to attend the OJEE Counselling and allot the seats accordingly. Candidates are called for OJEE Counselling according to their rank in the prepared merit list. Preparation of the merit list depends on the performance of the candidate in OJEE 2017.

Candidates should bring the following list of documents at the time of OJEE Counselling:

  1. Mark sheet of X and XII class.
  2. Qualifying examination mark sheet.
  3. Candidate passport size photograph
