NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
BITSAT is one of the premier engineering entrance exams in the country. The exam is organized by BITS Pilani every year for admission into B.Tech courses in various engineering branches offered at different campuses of Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS).
BITSAT 2017 is scheduled from May 16, 2017 to May 30, 2017. The exam is conducted in online mode only and all the questions are objective in nature. The exam comprises 150 questions divided into five sections namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Proficiency, and Logical Reasoning. The total marks allocated for the BITSAT is 386 with 3 marks awarded for every correct response while 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. However, candidates who finish the test before the stipulated time of 3 hours get an opportunity to score more as 12 additional questions (4 each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) are provided to them. Thus, developing speed and accuracy to solve questions will give you a strong edge for BITSAT 2017.
The real challenge for many aspirants is to manage the preparations for BITSAT along with their class 11th and 12th academic curriculum. Many actually find it difficult to prioritize and decide a subject-wise strategy and also sources that they should refer for each subject.

Before starting with preparation, candidates should carefully go through BITSAT 2017 Syllabus to identify the important topics to focus upon. The syllabus is based on the 10+2 syllabus prescribed by CBSE. Some of the important topics in terms of weightage from all individual topics are compiled below.
A total of 40 questions would be asked from Physics. The questions asked under this section would be both conceptual and numerical in nature. Mathematics section is a crucial section in BITSAT exam as it comprises 45 questions (of the total 150 questions) which is maximum for any section. Thus, Mathematics section can be the decisive factor in your performance in BITSAT 2017. Some of the prominent topics from Mathematics are listed below.
There is no specific syllabus for this section. English section would test the candidates for their basic proficiency in English grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and ability to read fast and comprehend. The English section comprises 15 questions.
The logical reasoning section is designed to test candidate’s ability to think logically to perceive data accurately, understand relationships and figure out patterns and missing numbers or words correctly. The section comprises a total of 10 questions.
