BITSAT 2017 Admit Card

BITSAT 2017 Admit Card will be released on April 15, 2017 on the official website of BITS. BITSAT 2017 Slot booking has started from March 20, 2017 to April 5, 2017. The BITSAT 2017 Admit card is a very important document consisting of crucial information relating to the examination such as test venue, timing etc. Candidates need to download their admit cards and present it on the day of the exam, failing which candidates will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test) is a computer-based test conducted by BITS (Birla Institute of Technology and Science), Pilani for admissions in undergraduate & postgraduate courses in the field of engineering, science & pharmacy at BITS Pilani Campuses in Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad

BITSAT 2017 will be conducted from May 16, 2017 to May 30, 2017. The Application process ended on March 10, 2017. Candidates have to book a slot from March 20, 2017 to April 5, 2017, failing which candidates will not be able to download their admit cards and hence, won’t be able to take BITSAT 2017. Candidates can download their BITSAT Admit Card 2017 from April 15, 2017. The last date to download the BITSAT Hall Ticket is May 10, 2017.


How to Download BITSAT 2017 Admit Card

Candidates can download BITSAT 2017 Admit card from the Official BITS website. Candidates should print the admit card for BITSAT 2017 in colored format and in multiple copies. The steps to download admit card are mentioned below:

  • Visit the official website –http://bitsadmission.com
  • click on “BITSAT 2017 Hall Ticket”.
  • Enter your login credentials, such as Application number and email ID.
  • Select your date of birth and gender.
  • Click on the proceed button
  • View and download BITSAT 2017 Admit Card.
  • Take a print out of the BITSAT 2017 Admit Card

While downloading your BITSAT 2017 Admit Card, candidates should make sure to check all the particulars mentioned on it and ensure them to be true.

If the candidate notices any incorrect detail or any kind of discrepancy, contact the university within the time frame allotted or else no changes will be further entertained.

Documents to carry with BITSAT Admit Card

Candidates need to carry an original Identity proof along with BITSAT 2017 Admit card on the day of exam. Failure to produce any of these documents may cause the authorities to disallow the candidate from entering the BITSAT exam center. At least one Photo bearing identity proof is required to present at the time of BITSAT 2017 Exam. Exam Day instruction

Candidates need to keep some points in mind before taking the BITSAT 2017 exam. Mentioned below are some instructions that candidates should follow on the day of the BITSAT 2017 exam.

  • Candidates must bring two copies of their passport size coloured photographs along with them admit card and original identity proof
  • Electronics devices such as mobiles, calculator, and other wireless equipment are banned in the premises of the exam center.
  • Candidates should bring pen for signing and doing rough work.
  • After being frisked, finger prints of candidates will be taken, please ensure that you do not have paint/henna on your fingers.
  • Candidates are advised to reach the exam centre 1 hour before the commencement of the exam
  • Guardians, parents or friends accompanying the candidate won’t be allowed inside the premises of exam centre.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall before the completion of exam.

Details of BITSAT 2017

Candidates should know the details of BITSAT like exam pattern and how the exam will be conducted before taking the exam. Below mentioned are some details of the exam.

  • BITSAT 2017 is a computer-based test. ‘Computer-Based test’ means the candidate sits in front of a computer and the questions are presented on the computer monitor and the candidate answers the questions on the computer through the use of keyboard or mouse.
  • Each computer is connected to a server, which prepares the question set and delivers it to the candidate on the computer.
  • This is unlike the traditional paper-pencil based test, which is generally offered on a single day to all candidates. BITSAT-2017 will be offered over a period of time and the candidate can choose the Center, the Day and Time of his/her convenience to take the test.
  • BITSAT-2017 will be of total 3-hour duration (without break). The test consists of four parts:
  1. Part I : Physics
  2. Part II : Chemistry
  3. Part III : (a) English Proficiency and (b) Logical Reasoning
  4. Part IV : Mathematics or Biology (For B.Pharm candidates)
  • All questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions); each question with choice of four answers, only one being correct choice. Each correct answer  is awarded 3 marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 1 mark (-1mark). No marks are awarded for questions not attempted.
