NMAT 2018

NMAT 2018- Candidates can book a slot and appear for NMAT 2018 from 1st week of October, 2017 onwards. Candidates who wish to sit for NMAT 2018 will have to go through the application procedure which will begin from 1st week of July, 2017. NMAT is a national level exam conducted by Graduate Management Aptitude Council (GMAC) for aspirants who wish to pursue Management courses.

Candidates will have to visit the official website of NMAT 2018 to complete the registration process. A person must be below 25 years of age and he/she must possess a full-time bachelor’s degree to be eligible to apply for NMAT 2018. After successful registration, NMAT admit card 2018 can be downloaded online from 1st week of September, 2017.

NMAT 2018 results can be expected in the 3rd week of January, 2018, following which registration for Case Discussion and Personal Interview shall commence i.e. from 3rd week of January, 2018 onwards.

NMAT 2018 Exam Dates

To get admission to the top B-schools of India such as NMIMS, Amity, Thapar, BML, Munjal, VIT, etc., candidates must clear NMAT 2018. NMAT registrations will open from 1st week of July, 2017. Interested candidates must know all the dates pertaining to NMAT 2018. NMAT 2018 exam dates have been given below:

NMAT 2018 Eligibility

Candidates who wish to apply for NMAT 2018 must be well aware of the eligibility criteria set by the conducting body (GMAC). Those who fulfill the eligibility criteria will be allowed to sit for NMAT. Failure to fulfilling, it will lead to disqualification from appearance in NMAT 2018. The eligibility criteria for NMAT 2018 is described below:

Academic Qualifications

A candidate must possess bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% aggregate marks. Candidates who have completed their graduation from other than regular mode, shall not be eligible to sit for NMAT 2018.

Candidates currently appearing for final exam in their full time bachelor degree courses shall also be eligible to apply for NMAT 2018.

Age

Candidate must not be more than 25 years of age.


NMAT 2018 Registration

For the convenience of the candidates, NMAT 2018 Registration process will be conducted entirely through online mode. The application procedure shall commence from the first week of July, 2017 via official website of NMAT. The steps to register for NMAT 2018 are as follows:

Step 1: Registration

  • Visit the official website of NMAT and search for ‘registration’ link.
  • Click on ‘new user’ and enter details like email ID, phone number, password, etc
  • You will get a unique user id and password on the registered email id or contact number.

Step 2: Form Filling

Next, fill the NMAT 2018 Application form by providing your personal details, academic details, work experience, the list of programmes to send score and ID to be used at the centre. Check all the details carefully before clicking on ‘submit’ button. Upload a scanned copy of your recent passport size photograph in JPEG format.

Step 3: Payment of Registration Fee

The registration fee can be remitted online as well as offline. Candidates shall pay INR 1700 as registration fee. If a candidate opts for online method of payment, he she will have to use net banking facility or credit card/debit card.

The offline payment can be done by drawing a demand draft in favour of Graduate Management Global Connection (India) Pvt. Ltd. Payable at Gurgaon.

Candidates must note that additional INR 200+ taxes shall be applicable if they seek more copies of score reports (more than 7).


NMAT 2018 Scheduling Process

Candidates who have carefully filled the NMAT registration fee will receive their Username and Password within 24 hours of the payment of the fees on the registered email id. The details regarding scheduling of NMAT 2018 are given below:

  • Candidates will have to pick their preferred time slot, date and centre of examination from the given options. The scheduling for NMAT 2018 will be done on first come first serve basis.
  • The scheduling process is expected to begin in 1st week of July, 2017.
  • Candidates will be provided the option of scheduling one test attempt at a time.
  • Once the scheduling is done, candidates will receive a confirmation email from person VUE intimating the details of NMAT 2018 exam. The details such as date, time, centre of the exam, etc. will be included.
  • Candidates can contact the help desk on 09213027791/09213027792 – Monday to Friday (except public holidays - 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM IST) to get support.

NMAT 2018 Test Retake

Candidates can retake NMAT after the first attempt. However, the exam schedule for retake of NMAT 2018 can be done 15 days after the commencement of the first attempt. The exam scheduling window will remain open and candidates can reschedule their exam according to their convenience.


NMAT 2018 Admit Card

In the first week of September 2017, candidates will be able to download their NMAT 2018 Admit Cards. The admit cards will be made available on the official website of NMAT. Candidates can contact NMAT helpdesk if they do not receive the admit card within stipulated time. The steps to download the NMAT 2018 Admit card are:

  • Go to the official website of NMAT and click on ‘Admit Card’ link
  • Enter your registered email id and password. Click on ‘submit’.
  • NMAT admit card will appear on the screen. Check all the important details and download it.
  • Take print out of the admit card and take it to the test centre along with a photo id proof.

NMAT 2018 Exam Centre

The NMAT 2018 will be conducted at 32 centers across 23 cities in India. The centers below are divided into 5 regions.

NMAT 2018 Exam Pattern

NMAT 2018 Exam will be computer based test. Candidates appearing for the exam are expected to have basic knowledge of operating computer. The NMAT 2018 exam shall comprise of 3 sections which can be attempted in candidate’s preferred sequence.

NMAT 2018 will be conducted for hours. 120 questions must be answered within the stipulated time, for which, candidates will be awarded 3 marks each for every correct answer. No negative marking will be done with respect to wrongly answered question. Candidates must go through the exam pattern given below to get a fair idea about NMAT 2018 exam.

NMAT 2018 Result

NMAT results will be declared in the 3rd week of January, 2018. Candidates can obtain their scores from the official website of NMAT. The details mentioned in NMAT 2018 score card will be as follows:

  • Scaled score for each section
  • A total score
  • A percentile ranking

How is NMAT 2018 score calculated?

The NMAT 2018 score will be calculated in 3 ways:

  • Scaled NMAT 2018 Score- All the test forms will be put together for comparison to decide on the raw score obtained in the test by the applicants on a common scale.
  • Historical Percentile Ranking for NMAT 2018- The historical percentile ranking is percentile score relative to the previous year score of the candidates. The pool candidates appearing for the test may change but the score obtained finally by the last pool of candidates is considered while preparing the current score. Therefore, the ranking secured by any candidate is called historical percentile ranking as it is the ranking which the candidate has obtained relative to the past year score.
  • Final Percentile Score 2018: This is the final score of the candidate. Candidates can obtain them from the official website of NMAT.

NMAT 2018 Cut Off

The cut off for NMAT 2018 will be released soon after the declaration of the NMAT 2018 results. The cut off for each college will be released separately. Candidates can go through the previous year cut offs given below:

NMAT 2018 Selection Process

The selection process of NMAT 2018 will comprise of 3 stages:

  • Marks scored in NMAT 2018
  • Case Discussion
  • Personal Interview

Once the candidates qualify to the cut off after the declaration of results, they will be called for case discussion (also known as group discussion). Candidates will be asked to present their case among a group of people on the given topic. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Personal Interview and if the candidate is selected he/she can download the call letter from NMIMS website.
