NMAT 2017: GMAC announces results for exam taken between Oct 7 to Dec 20

The result for NMAT Window (V) have been recently declared. NMAT 2017 was held between October 7- December 20, 2016. The NMAT exam is conducted by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). After clearing NMAT, candidates are eligible to take admission in various institutes like VIT, Thapar, and Amity etc.

After 4-5 weeks of NMAT 2017, result will be declared on the official website of the university. After the declaration of the result, candidates will get a mail regarding the availability of the examination scores. The final result will be announced on January 17, 2017.

Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of marks secured by them in the NMAT. Candidates are required to enter their email ID and password to check their results.

The final merit list of NMAT 2017 for the selected candidates will be prepared on the basis of their academic marks obtained, work experience, NMAT marks, Case Discussion and Personal Interview. After clearing this entire selection procedure, candidates will be eligible to take admission in MBA and PGDM courses.


NMAT Final Result

The NMAT result will be declared on January 17, 2017. The final percentile is considered when candidates are shortlisted for NMAT admission process rounds. There are three types of percentile which help in forming the result of NMAT 2017.


How to check NMAT 2017 result?

By following the below steps candidates can check their NMAT result:

  • Candidates should click on the NMAT official website “www.nmat.org.in”
  • After that candidates need to enter their email address and password to login into the account.
  • Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully and then click on the button named as “Get Your Result”.
  • The Result of the candidate will be displayed on their computer screen. Candidates can take the printout of the result until their final percentile scores release.

NMAT 2017 Score Card

Candidates can download the scorecard from official website of the university. The scorecard contains the details of scores obtained by the candidate in 3 sections of the examination. The scorecard contains the following information

  • Scaled score for each section.
  • Total score
  • Percentile Ranking

These section wise scores will be released after 4-5 weeks of the entrance examination. These scores are divided into three categories i.e. scaled scores, historical percentile ranking, and final percentile scores.

Following is the explanation of all the score categories

Scaled Scores

  • This process is designed to ensure that final scores secured by the candidates are not affected by different test forms. Basically, this procedure helps to put all the test forms together by comparing raw scores obtained by the candidates on a common scale.

Final Percentile Scores

  • Actual scores obtained by the candidate in NMAT 2017 exam is considered as final scores. These scores will be released in the month of January. If the candidate wants to appear for the test again then their historical percentile scores considered as final scores.

Historical Percentile Ranking

  • The percentile scores are the previous year scores of the candidate. Therefore these scores are named as a historical percentile ranking.

Note:

  • To download score card no separate emails will be sent to the candidate.
  • As many times as candidate take re-test final percentile of the candidate get change.

NMAT 2017 Cut Off

The cut-off helps in getting the deserving candidates against the limited seats. These are the minimum marks to qualify selection procedure rounds such as group discussion and personal interview. Candidates who obtain more or equal marks are only called for these selection rounds.

Following are the factors which help in finalising the NMAT 2017 cut-off by the institute:

  • Total no. of management seats available.
  • No. of applications received by the candidate.
  • GMAC NMAT 2017 scores.
  • Reservation norms of the institute.
