STATE LEVEL ONLINE TEST
TISSNET 2017 was successfully conducted on January 7, 2017 for the academic session beginning this year. TISSNET is abbreviation for Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test which is held to provide admissions to eligible candidates in various Master’s Programmes at TISS.
TISS, the official conducting body of TISSNET, will release the cut off list after the TISS Results are declared on January 27, 2017. Candidates will have to qualify to the cut off marks to proceed for TISS admission. Those who score equal to or more than the cut off marks shall be called for Pre-Interview and Personal Interview. TISSNET 2017 cut off will be declared in percentage. Mere qualification to the cut off marks will not ensure candidate’s admission to the desired course. How a candidate performs in all rounds of selection process will be the deciding factor.
According to the officials of Tata Institute of Social Sciences, TISSNET 2017 Cut Off is the minimum qualifying marks for written test. Candidates will have to qualify to the TISSNET Cut Off to proceed to Pre-Interview Test. The cut off will be released percentage-wise. For the convenience of the candidates, various institutes release the expected cut off for TISSNET. Candidates can catch a glance of the cut off which is expected to be released for TISSNET 2017:

TISSNET 2017 was conducted on January 7, 2017 by Tata Institute of Social Sciences. This year, the TISS Exam was comparatively easy to attempt. The question paper was broadly focused on four parts- Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation, Reasoning and General Awareness.
Those who sat for TISSNET 2017 observe that questions from Verbal Ability and Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation sections were easy. Maximum questions (11 questions) were based on vocabulary in Verbal Ability section. However, out of 15 questions, 4 questions were asked from the topic bar charts in Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation section. Other topics such as Profit and Loss, Average, Ratio, Geometry, etc. weighed equally i.e. 1-2 questions were covered from each topic.
The level of difficulty in other following sections was easy to moderate. Candidates were asked 15 questions from Reasoning Analysis section. All the topics were covered in equal proportion. However, according to some candidates, reasoning analysis section was easiest to attempt out of all the sections. General Awareness section comprised of questions from easy to moderate level. Maximum questions (20 questions) were asked from Static GK and 12 questions were put up from current affairs section.
